The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

formom612

Father,

Your child is here at this moment to lay it all out before You—every trouble, fear, distress, concern, hurt, injustice, and strain. I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble. (Psalm 142:2 NIV) They are seeking You for complete deliverance with their faith, their prayers, and their praises. Your beloved’s confidence is in the assurance that You are good and You have heard their cries for deliverance. (Psalm 107:6) In the mighty Name of Jesus, snatch your child up from the grip the enemy has on their heart! Snatch them from addiction, failed relationships, crippling unbelief, financial strain, failing health, and regrets. Indeed, they are more than a conqueror through and in You, their Deliverer! (Romans 8:37) You alone will release their feet from the snares and entanglements of their enemy. (Psalm 25:15) Deliver them by healing their hearts, minds, and spirits with Your love! Your child can trust that You have an expected end to this current season of questioning and worry, heartbreak and sickness, loneliness and shame. (Daniel 2:21, Proverbs 3:5-6) Your plan is to “snatch them away” from the enemy and love them devotedly until their deliverance is complete. (Psalm 136:24)

Oh, what a beautiful plan!

In the Mighty Name of Jesus we have prayed!
Amen and Amen,
I love YOU,
Sheila

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

The God of Wonders

Father,

I pray my friend takes the Hand powerful enough to create oceans, seas, and mountains and trust Your sovereignty in choice of direction for her life. (Isiah 41:10 and Proverbs 3:5-6) Lift Your child’s head high above her adversary’s and demolish her paralyzing fears with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. (Psalm 3:3 and Philippians 4:7)  May they know Your ways are the highest and best.  May Your ways be their life-long pursuit! (Isaiah 55:8-9)  As Your child “follows hard” after You, give Your beloved good things, bountifully, in the mighty name of Jesus. (Psalm 63:8 and Psalm 65:11)

Father, King David cried out to You and You answered delivering him from the snares, tricks, and taunts of his enemies! May You do the same for my friend. Be their inner strength, protector, shelter, and shield from the plan of the enemy who is bullying Your child into giving up. When stress and worry entangle Your own and the meanness of Satan overwhelms, Your ears will hear their cry. You will even reach down and take a loving hold of Your child. Rescue them out of the deep waters of despair smothering them today. Bring them out into a spacious place to breathe, relax and rest! (Psalm 18 and Psalm 66:12)

Rescue Your child simply because you delight in them. Psalm 18:19

Stoop down and give the attention needed Father; they feels alone and weak. (Psalm 18:35)  Therefore, fill their days with laughter, love, and beauty. (Proverbs 17:22) Even when they feel like running from you, chase them down, to prove You are faithful no matter what. (2 Timothy 2:13) Give encouragement when Your child expects it the least. Give mercy when they believe they are the last to deserve it. (Ephesians 2:4) Let Your child taste and see that You are good and they are fortunate! “O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.” Psalm 34:8 (AMP)

God, our human minds are very limited. Your revelation and knowledge is vast! (1 Corinthians 2:10) Would you show my friend Your greatness and astound them with an exceedingly abundant answer to this prayer? (Ephesians 3:20-21)  Would you allow Your beloved to see the movement of heaven on her behalf and reveal the answer to her prayers on earth this very day! (Luke 11:13) Show her You are the God of Wonders! (Psalm 77:14) Their God, who will do Wonders on their behalf. May today be the day of many Wonders.

In the mighty Name of Jesus we have prayed!
Amen and Amen,

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

Father,

Your child has laid it all out there before You—every trouble, concern, hurt, injustice, and strain. I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble. (Psalm 142:2 NIV) They have sought You with faith, prayers, and praise. Your beloved’s confidence is in the assurance that You are good and You have heard. Indeed, they are more than a conqueror through and in YOU!

Father, Your peace and joy are theirs because they belong to You. You alone are able to release their feet from the snare of the enemy. (Psalm 25:15) You are the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, and the End. (Revelation 1:8) YOU are THEIR God. Your beloved can trust that You have an expected end to this current season of questioning and worry, heartbreak and sickness, loneliness and shame. (Daniel 2:21, Proverbs 3:5-6)

We have felt Your presence and are THANKFUL! We could not have made it through such trying times without Your grace and goodness in abundance. You are so very good. Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. (Matthew 18:19 NIV) We are here to agree.

In the mighty Name of Jesus, we plead the blood of Jesus over every single prayer request that has been entrusted into Your hands to be answered miraculously, abundantly, and supernaturally according to Your perfect will. We have prayed Your Word, which does not come back void, but instead accomplishes what it is sent to do.

Your mighty Word has been sent forth to:

~ Heal hearts
~ Renew minds
~ Help overcome flesh and fleshly reactions
~ Provide for needs
~ Direct steps to jobs and finances
~ Deliver addicts
~ Bring home the prodigal
~ Unite husbands and wives together as one
~ Fulfill the deepest desires of the heart of Your child
~ Refresh the weary
~ Advance Your kingdom
~ Glorify You

We are fully convinced You are able to do what You have promised and what You have willed. Your child is like Abraham, who was fully convinced that God was able to do what He has promised. (Romans 4:21 ESV)

Thank You for the Holy Scripture You knew Your child would need to sustain their faith, draw them close to You, and renew their heart, mind, and spirit. As they wait for their prayers to be answered, help them endure by remembering they are supported by Your mighty, lavish love.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35-39 ESV, emphasis added)

Because You love Your child and they love You, You have given this wonderful promise: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9 NLT) Father, why will You help You beloved overcome? Why will You do such marvelous things for them? For Your Name’s Sake! Yet he saved them for his name’s sake, that he might make known his mighty power. (Psalm 106:8 ESV)

Thank You for hearing and strengthening Your child’s prayers. May You get all the praise, glory, and honor You are due and may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
Love,
Sheila

Dancing With Daddy

Father God, Happy Father’s Day!

Dancing with Daddy
Sheila Mangum

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.” Psalm 30:11-12 (NIV)

My father was an alcoholic. Sadly, the disease consumed him and when he couldn’t find a way out, he committed suicide. His death affected my life in so many ways, and I missed his presence regularly. But one of the hardest times was at my wedding.

My wedding day was not what I had dreamed of. I glanced over to where my father should have been and saw an empty chair. The beauty of the father-daughter dance and him giving me away was a moment I would have treasured and framed.

But there was no photograph of our dance or of him handing me to my husband. Those pictures and memories were stolen from me. My wedding dress hid my vulnerable heart and my flowing veil covered my sad eyes.

In my brokenness, it felt like my father, by his suicide, abandoned me. I thought I was different because of the shame and loss and never really had a sense of belonging. In many ways, I felt like an orphan. Thankfully, I still had my mother who encouraged me that our faithful God would send someone into my life at the times when I needed a father figure.

My mom was right. God did send a father to take my dad’s place. He arranged for someone to care for my needs, to nurture my wounded heart and be the solid foundation that a girl needs in a father. He sweetly sent someone who would not abandon me.

God didn’t hand-select a pastor, in-law or godly man whom He trusted to show me love the way I needed. No, God sent Himself as a Father to me and my crippled heart. He fulfilled what He promises in Psalm 68:5, “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.” (NIV).

The Fatherhood of God has created a healthy, trustworthy relationship with me that would never have happened if He hadn’t helped me overcome the sadness of the loss of my earthly father. He saved me from my doubts and insecurities.

God has been so very faithful to give to me what the years my childhood of insecurity and immaturity stole from me: wisdom and discernment. He’s promised to restore back to me everything that’s been stolen, even the memory of a father-daughter dance.

The Bible describes in vivid detail the beauty that is to come for those of us who have chosen to follow Jesus. Revelation 19:7 says, “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready” (NIV).

There is a wedding where my Father will be. His presence will be known. His seat will be filled. His love will surround the place where there will be no tears or pain. At the wedding of the Lamb, I will finally have a dance with my Daddy.

I will take the hand that created me (Colossians 1:16). I will hold the palm that has my name written on it (Isaiah 49:16). He will lead me to all righteousness, just as He has taught me through life (Psalm 23:3). I will look into the eyes that are watching me now (Psalm 145:20). I will be held in the arms that I have run to so many times (Proverbs 18:10). I will be face-to-face with the One whose love has never failed me (Psalm 31:16). I will dance with my Father on that day.

Do you need a Father who never will leave you? Do you need security, love and devotion? Your Heavenly Father is the One who holds your heart safely in His capable hands. You are His most treasured possession. He wants to nurture you. Ask God today to heal your heart with His Fatherly love and set your hopes on eternity and a future dance.

Can He have this dance? Here is a prayer for you:

Father,

You are trustworthy, true to Your Word and truly extravagant in Your love. You will never leave nor forsake me. Thank You for Your care for me. You loved saved me. You have my heart! Boy, am I glad that I let You love me! Thank You Father that my life is framed with Your love!

Amen!

Reflect and Respond:
Write this on a note card and place it where you can see it:

You are MY daughter and I adore you. I watch your every move and direct your every step. I have a future planned and purposed for your good. Your heart is safe with Me. I promise. May I have this dance?

Love,
God

Father,

Thank You for the privilege of entering Your presence on behalf of Your child. I place before Your throne of grace and mercy Your child in their brokenness. The one You love everlasting needs You to move, speak, direct, deliver, and heal. (Jeremiah 31:3) My friend has been burdened with rejection, false accusations, heart-ache, and lost dreams. Your child need NOT be concerned; for You are their Just judge, the Giver of their Dreams, and the Healer of their Broken Heart. (Psalm 7:11, Proverbs 16:9, Jeremiah 29:11, and Psalm 147:3)

I ask that You re-write the story Your child wants re-written. Do the impossible for them! Show them Your loving, powerful hand is where their dreams are revived and that You are to be trusted and believed! (Luke 18:27, Romans, 4:21) You, who hangs the earth on absolutely nothing; nothing is too hard for You! (Job 26:7, Jeremiah 32:17) Restore back every God-given blessing, dream, and relationship the enemy has stolen or tricked from Your beloved. (Joel 2:25) Give back double in good things; things that will thrill their heart. (James 1:17) Yes, do for them what they cannot do for themselves! (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Father, Your Love and Word has the final say! (Proverbs 3:5-6) Show up and speak on Your beloved’s behalf! (Luke 1:37) Locate Your child like You did David (1 Samuel 16:11-13) and focus Your attention to the cries of their heart as they cry out to You for relief. (Luke 18:7-8) Give wisdom generously and strength to pursue life, righteousness, and choices that honor You as they wait. (James 1:5) You are the Love that saves, delivers, comforts, and guides. Your love overwhelms! Your love abounds! Save Your child from what is drowning and suffocating them with Your mighty love! (Deuteronomy 7:8-10)

Build up and lift Your child up to their feet, with Your invincible love!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and AMEN,
I love you,

Paralyzing Worry Is Loved Right Out Of Your Heart!

Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have
I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.
Isaiah 50:7

Father,

Worry is sneaky and hides well in the deepest part of the heart. When it dwells in the heart, a lot of “self-talking” gives worry space that belongs to faith. Your child’s “self-talking” goes something like this: But what if I hope for this and it does not happen? Father, please remove worrisome thoughts and replace them with this prayer: Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10 NIV)

Help Your child trust that You will answer them according to Your good and perfect will! But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” (Psalm 31:14 and Romans 12:2) They need not worry how You will answer as You have promised an answer that honors them. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. (Psalm 91:15) Your answer, in Your timing will NOT disappoint! (Isaiah 50:7)

Father, when Your beloved worries, love the worry right out of their heart! And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. (Romans 5:5 NIV) Their faith and Your love will crowd out the worry from Your child’s heart; so they may prepare for Your most beautiful, perfect, and honoring answer… that surely is on it’s way to Your child!  Psalm 107:28-30 says this: Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.

Father, bring Your child to their desired haven! A place where they are “shut in” with you; far from the worry and their own “self-talking.” A place where when their prayers collide with Your invincible love, worry is loved right out of their paralyzed heart! May it be so!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
Love,
Sheila

He is YOUR Great I AM!

“I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’
Exodus 3:14

Father,

How wonderful to think of the lavish love You pour out for Your child. (1 John 3:1) There isn’t a future moment You will love them more, nor anything that could separate them from Your love. (Romans 8:38-39) You see Your child’s afflictions and rescue them willingly. (Psalm 31:7-8) Before we call, You answer; while we are yet praying, You hear. (Isaiah 65:24) When Your child cries out, ‘My foot is slipping,’ You keep them secure; when anxiety is great, You console with peace. (Psalm 94:18-19) When an abundance of tears is sown, You allow Your beloved to reap shouts of joy. (Psalm 126:5)

Yes Lord, You are great and deserve our praise, for You are our one and only devoted God. (2 Samuel 7:22) The heavens declare Your glory and the skies proclaim the work of Your hands. (Psalm 19:1-2) The rocks will cry out, proclaiming Your goodness if we fail to do so. (Luke 19:40) That is how good You are. So very good. You are the Great I AM! (Exodus 3:14) What does that mean for Your child? You are whatever they need!

I AM your Wisdom
I AM the Restorer of the Breach
I AM your Healer
I AM your Comforter
I AM your Provider.
I AM the One Who Loves Unconditionally
IAM your Strength and Help
I AM the One who makes all things new
I AM your Way Maker

God’s Presence Comforts YOU

Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go
with us,do not send us up from here.
Exodus 33:15

Father,

You are always there for Your child. Your presence is their comfort! You never meant for Your child to feel alone, abandoned, afraid, or cheated. In fact, Your very Name, Yahweh Shammah, the Lord is present, means just the opposite. This stands in stark contrast to the feelings of “I’m alone in this difficult place.” And it wipes out Satan’s many lies; starting with Your beloved must fend for themselves in their difficult and hard life circumstances. Not true! Sometimes, when Your child feels alone, they grow weary. This invites physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fatigue. Please give Your child a respite by reminding them that You are there; You care deeply and Your presence wants to fill their weary, lonely and broken heart! “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14 ESV)

I pray Your powerful, loving, and safe presence OVERWHELM Your child today. Revive their heart with Your presence and may they rest!

May it be so!

What Happens When Your Prayers Collide with the Invincible Love of God
 Wholeness of Heart

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23

Father,

I ask You to heal Your child—physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually—so they are healthy and whole. Jehovah Rapha, our healer, cure their diseases. Repair their heart. Restore back their life. Will You make Your child whole for Your kingdom’s sake? Your child cannot do kingdom work if they are broken, tired, sick, emotionally unstable, or have an un-renewed mind. Your beloved needs to be whole—mind, body, soul, and spirit—to serve Your purposes and fight spiritual battles! Heal them so they can be Your vessel of honor. (2 Timothy 2:21) My prayer is for You to miraculously intervene. (Luke 18:27)

If You choose, in Your infinite wisdom, to heal in a more wise way; I pray this:

Father, I pray for You to reveal anything the enemy has hidden from Your child’s sight that may keep them from their wholeness. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.(Daniel 2:22) I ask You to grant Your child the wisdom needed to take the first step in the healing of their mind, body, soul, and spirit? Is it to see a doctor? Is it to receive counsel from a wise godly friend? Is it to change an eating habit? Is it to balance their life? Is it to put nonsense aside and purse the passion You have placed in their heart? Is it to start a in-depth study of the Bible? Is it to forgive someone? Is it to repent of a hidden sins? Is it to be the first to make amends in a broken relationship? Is it to consecrate themselves and take time to hear Your voice for direction? We are asking for the wisdom of which You promised to give of generously! (James 1:5)

Lord, move Your unseen hand today to strengthen their broken, bruised, and tired heart and body! Thank You that You reach down from heaven to attend to Your child out of devotion and love. He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me in the day of my disaster, but the LORD was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me. (2 Samuel 22:17-20 NIV) Yes, rescue them simply because You love them so!

When this healing happens for Your child, may they be just like the one leper who turned back to THANK YOU! One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. (Luke 17:11-19 NIV)

Praises to You, our One True King!

May it be so!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
Love,
Sheila

Day Fifteen of Powerful Praying

Day Fifteen

What Happens When Your Prayers Collide with the Invincible Love of God
Amazing Things Happen

Joshua told the people, “Consecrate (Sanctify) yourselves,
for tomorrow LORD will do amazing things (wonders) among you.”
Joshua 3:5

Beloved Family,

What happens when your prayers collide with the invincible love of God? Amazing things happen! Joshua 3:5 is what I want to pray for you today. Take another look: Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow LORD will do amazing things (wonders) among you.”  “Wonders” and “amazing things” is God’s promise in this scripture. More specifically, the promise is God taking a “difficultly and hard circumstance” and turning it into a “miraculous and marvelous thing.” (Strong’s Concordance 6381-82)

Is this what you need my friend?

One of our sister’s left a comment a few months ago that will tug at your heart: “My husband and I are going through some things right now that “look as good as dead” and buried at this point. These prayers have really hit home and helped me to keep having faith.” Many prayers, crying out to God, and tears later (consecrating yourself) she has now seen her “difficult and hard circumstances” turn into “miraculous and marvelous things.” Just yesterday she left us this message that will thrill your heart to pieces:

Take a look at Sheri’s “amazing things”: “I want to let you know how much your prayers have meant. My husband is currently in jail and the kids and I are having a very hard time financially, and emotionally. There are days that I am sure that you wrote your prayer just for me and my husband. I’ve been printing them off and sending them to him. He finally got saved and is clean and sober. We just have to get by until Dec. so we can be a real family again. I pray that god blesses you as much as you have been a blessing to me.”

Let’s pray!

Our Father,

I ask You in the Mighty Name of Jesus to do a “miraculous and marvelous thing” out of my friend’s “difficult and hard circumstance.” (Joshua 3:5)  Thank You for moving on behalf of Your children so faithfully. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still. (Exodus 14:14) There is nothing too difficult for You; at all! (Jeremiah 32:27) You will complete the good work You have started, exceedingly and abundantly! Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 1:6) May this story and those of all of this prayer family continue with seeing more marvelous things!  We have prepared/sanctified our hearts by repenting, forgiving, meditating on Your Word, and yielding to Your truths … now we await amazing things!

May it be so!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
Love,
Sheila
