Sheila

Father,

Thank you for the beautiful heart You have created in my treasured and beloved friend! (Psalm 139) Today, I honor her with this Three Stranded Prayer. May my friend’s eyes be forever fixed on You, Your beauty, Your goodness, and Your faithfulness towards her. (Hebrews 12:2) May her ears be awakened every morning to hear Your thoughts, Your instructions for the day, and Your great voice of comfort and love. (Isaiah 50:4-5, Isaiah 55:8, and John 10:27) May her mouth continually sing praises to You; her One and Only True King (Revelation 19:11) May her weary arms be lifted by devoted and loyal friends. (Exodus 17:12) May her hands be an extension of Yours to others who need Your touch. (1 John 3:17) May her legs stand strong on Your Holy, Powerful, and True Word. (Isaiah 55:11 and Psalm 1:1-2) May her feet spread the good news of Your healing, forgiving, and devoted love. (Isaiah 52:7 and Romans 10:15) May her sweet heart be filled with the joy of the Lord and rejoice in all circumstances because You are her God. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) May she have the mind of Christ and be transformed by the renewing of her mind so she can discern Your good, pleasing, and perfect will for her and her beautiful family each day. (Romans 12:2 and 1 Corinthians 2:16) May this woman of noble character, whom You are so very, very proud, have a day far more beautiful than her heart could ever dream of, desire for, or hope for! (Ephesians 3:20-21 and Proverbs 31) May her heart be full and overflowing with love this Mother’s day!

In the mighty Name of Jesus!
Amen and amen.
I love you!
Sheila

Praying for your Resurrection!

Father,

You are awesome in glory and majestic in Your holiness! You are so very great and greatly to be praised. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. (Psalms 145:3) We praise You for the matchless power of the cross. (Psalm 119) Your insurmountable power and the resurrection of our Savior is what we celebrate with You today. The tomb is empty; for He has risen! (John 20)  It is finished! (John 19:30) Which means this for Your child… today: This proof and the standard to which all things impossible are to be measured is by Your resurrection power. (Luke 18:27) Father, You have set the bar the highest of high! Believing this, I ask You to show Your child what happens when they invite Your resurrection power into their lives, trials, and hearts this resurrection Sunday.

Resurrect a relationship dear to them.
Resurrect that dream they believe is unachievable.
Resurrect their marriage afresh.
Resurrect their broken-shattered to pieces heart.
Resurrect dream jobs for Your Kingdom purposes.
Resurrect finances beyond their comprehension.
Resurrect a family to serve You whole-heartedly.
Resurrect their minds and bodies healthy and whole.

Father, I pray Your resurrection power into their pain, their loss, and their lack. For You are still on the throne and our Jesus is now at Your right hand interceding on our behalf for this. (Romans 8:34 and Ephesians 1:20)

He came. He lived. He died. He rose. He now lives and will return again.

Today, Because He lives…He is resurrecting dreams, desires, and dead things back to life. (Romans 8:11 and Ezekiel 37) May it be so for my friend, this day.

In the mighty Name of Jesus!
Amen and amen.
I love you!
Sheila

Father,

Your goodness has no match! We approach the throne of grace with confidence and with the assurance You are abundantly good. (Hebrews 4:16) We know JUST where to go when we are devastated, weary, and weak. You promise to faithfully raise us from the dust; so here we are Father, awaiting You to lift us up from the ash heap we are in and into the marvelous future You have planned. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap. (Psalm 113:7-8) We find SUCH comfort in You being determined to see us live in Your highest and best for us. Yes, You have seen your child live in misery and ashes for far too long! Your deepest desire is to transform Your beloved child from ashes into beauty beyond what their paralyzed heart can see or even dream at the moment. Father, Your child has been waiting for so long they feel weakened by the wait. BUT, You have promised Your child will end up praising and THANKING You INSTEAD of “fainting” from this heavy load they are carrying in their heart. (Isaiah 61:3-5) They need just wait and see!

Your child has cried out to You countless nights and You have heard every single word. (Psalm 3:4-5) You promised to turn Your ear quickly and to be attentive to their heart cries; and You have. (Hosea 2:7) May Your child see “in the land of the living” the divine beauty that comes to those who put their weary hearts in Your powerful, loving, strong Hands. Father, in the dry and barren places of unbelief, lack, fear, and regret You have promised life! (John 10:10) So, speak tenderly to Your child reminding them that You give beauty for ashes where pain has been suffocating and cruel.  Start by giving relief in this moment with the miraculous power of hope. (Hosea 2:14) The miraculous power in HOPE is that it will resuscitate hearts with the promise of raising Your child up from the barren places to rebuild, restore, renew, and redeem what they have lost or has been stolen.

May Your promise of provision, restoration, miracles, and payback rush into their wounded heart and nourish all the hard, dry, forgotten, lonely places. He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river, (Psalms 105:41) I ask You this moment to sit alone with Your child and give them the promise they need from You. You are not a man that You should lie and nothing is too hard for You. (Numbers 23:19 and Jeremiah 32:27) Speak to You child as You did Moses. Face-to-Face. (Exodus 33:11) Speak tenderly to them with mysteries and secrets their human soul doesn’t yet know. You have an answer, an explanation, and a Word that can resurrect their hopes and dreams. You do. I pray for Your divine guidance, wisdom, and discernment as they sit before You this moment and await their promise. Yes, hope deferred has made their heart susceptible to giving up. But, I pray, In the might Name of Jesus that You inspire Your beloved with a unbelievable and unimaginable dream and place it firmly in their heart. (Psalm 126) Then grant it! Why? Because You are just that good! You are.

In the mighty Name of Jesus!
Amen and amen.
I love you!
Sheila

Father,

May the entire year 2016 be a treasured time between You and my friend. May this year be a pivotal time in their lives for restoration, redemption, and rest. Secure their hearts in Your covenant love and with an abundance of Your provision for whatever they need to glorify You and to further Your Kingdom in 2016. It is so beautiful to me that even before the foundation of the earth You set Your heart, Your never-ending love, and Your full attention toward this child of Yours. You love them and have a plan to use them mightily for Your high purposes on this earth. Nothing on earth could be more empowering for their destiny in You than Your abundant love and care. May Your child rest in the safety of Your presence and love from this moment on and into the Year 2016. (Exodus 33:14) Ground Your beloved in Your faithful love… eternally. (Ephesians 3:17) May they know with all their heart that Your love stretches further than they can run away, wider than they can wander off, deeper than any pit they have found themselves in, and higher than any impossible mountain in front of them. (Ephesians 3:18 and Psalm 103:10-13)

Father, we ask that You give Your beloved a deep, sweet sleep and a night of the much needed rest (in Your powerful arms) they so desperately need from the worries of the past year. Yes, may they refresh in Your arms tonight before they enter their most glorious year of 2016. If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. (Proverbs 3:24 NIV) Thank You for joy that will come in the morning of a NEW YEAR for Your child. Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning. (Psalm 30:5b ESV) Yes, what You say in Your Word is a promise to Your child. Your promise to Your children is just that … a promise. (Numbers 23:19b) There has not failed one word of Your good promises, ever. (1 Kings 8:56) Here is a promise I pray is knitted in the heart of my friend in this New Year…. “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”(Psalm 46:10) Your child need not worry, stress, or feel defeated from the past year; for You are still on the throne. They just need to trust Your heart, Your wisdom, and Your Hand to guide them into a beautiful 2016.

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. (Psalm 143:8)

In the mighty Name of Jesus!
Amen and amen.
I love you!

Day Twelve
The Gift of Your Son

Father,

No human words are adequate enough to let You know of how deeply thankful we are for the gift of Your Son. Immanuel, God with us. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” which means, God with us. (Matthew 1:23) The Word became flesh on earth to dwell among us; showing us Your beautiful yet powerful grace and truth. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14) Our hearts are exploding with thankfulness! Father, our gift to You this holiday season is to seek to unwrap a little bit of Your Son everyday for the rest of our days. Our desire is to make Your Son known to the world as He has been faithful to made Himself known to us. (1 Peter 1:13)

Oh Come Let Us Adore Him!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
I love You,
Sheila

Day Eleven
The Gift of Your Will Be Done

Father,

Thank You for the gift of Your Will Be Done. Worry is sneaky and hides well in the deepest part of the heart. When it dwells in the heart, a lot of “self-talking” gives worry space that belongs to faith. Your child’s “self-talking” goes something like this: But what if I hope for this and it does not happen? Father, please remove worrisome thoughts and replace them with this prayer: Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10 NIV)

Help Your child trust that You will answer them according to Your good and perfect will. But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” (Psalm 31:14 and Romans 12:2) They need not worry how You will answer as You have promised an answer that honors them. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. (Psalm 91:15) Your perfect answer, in Your perfect timing will NOT disappoint! (Isaiah 50:7)

Father, when Your beloved worries, love the worry right out of their heart. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. (Romans 5:5 NIV) Their faith in Your perfect will and Your love will crowd out the worry from Your child’s heart; so they may prepare for Your most beautiful and honoring answer… that surely is on it’s way to Your child! Psalm 107:28-30 says this: Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.

Father, help bring Your child to their desired haven. Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame. (Isaiah 50:7) A place where they are “shut in” with you; far from the worry. A place where when their prayers collide with Your invincible love and worry is loved right out of their paralyzed heart. May it be so!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
Love,
Sheila

Day Ten
The Gift of God Taking Your Battles

Father,

Thank You for the gift of You battling on behalf of Your beloved child. My friend is so very tired of the battle. The list is long of their trying efforts, midnight pleadings, and frustrated days. They are spinning their wheels and stuck in an overwhelmed life. Father, they need You to FIGHT for them. (Exodus 14:14) Be their Ever Present Help in their battle. (Psalm 28:7) What is a battle for them is of great importance to You. Yes, You delight in being involved in every detail of Your child’s life. You never meant for them to feel alone. (Deuteronomy 31:6) May they never question why You fight for them. May they KNOW You love them and fight for them as a devoted Father! You are their Warrior. You will not let them fall. You will never leave them helpless. You take their hands and hold tight. The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. (Psalm 37:23-24) Friend, God is holding you tight and if He is for you who can be against you? (Romans 8:28-31) No one and nothing.

It is finished! Let Him FIGHT for you!

May it be so!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.

Sheila

Day Nine
The Gift of Joy Unspeakable

Father,

Oh, the power of Your gift of JOY! The Greek word in the Bible for joy means enjoyable bliss. For Your child, this may feel inconceivable. They have lacked true joy for so long they’ve forgotten what it feels like. Will You lift Your beloved’s head from the weariness and depression to see You and Your joy? But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (Psalm 3:3 ESV) Yes, shield them with Your love and joy! Give Your child just what is needed to sing joyfully again. (Psalm 101:1) Remind them that You care so much about their pain that You have their tears in a bottle. (Psalm 56:8) Their heart can trust in You. The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him. (Psalm 28:7 ESV)

Because of Your presence, Your child can be joyful even in the midst of pain. Jesus was able to endure the cross because of the joy set before Him. (Hebrews 12:2) Your child can be afraid; yet filled with Your joy. What a life-changing gift joy is. (Matthew 28:8) This joy can be their strength when they don’t have enough energy to shed one more tear. (Nehemiah 8:10) Such sorrow You can turn into joy and dancing. You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy. (Psalm 30:11 NIV) Where is enjoyable joy? Your presence! You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.(Psalm 16:11) May they not move an inch out of Your presence as You gift them with enjoyable bliss this holiday season!

May it be so!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
Love,
Sheila

Day Eight
The Gift of Provision

Father,

We praise You for bending Your ear to the prayer of the destitute and not despising those who cry out to you when in need. (Psalm 102:17) Your Name is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider. You know Your child’s needs before they ask. Thank You for the gift of Your provision. (Matthew 6:8) Some of Your children are carrying the heavy burden of lack. (Matthew 11:28-30) Exhausted wouldn’t be a strong enough word to describe the heart burdened with lack such as lack of finances, lack of wisdom, lack of security, and lack of confidence. Your child needs Your wisdom, direction, and guidance to Your perfect will and provision this day. (Isaiah 40:29) When there is worry, fret, and fear, Your child is susceptible to Satan’s attacks and whispers. (1 Peter 5:8) Yes, they feel the lack and it makes them feel fearful and alone. But, they are not alone. You are their Faithful and True God. (Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5) You will never leave them nor forsake them.

Father, Sadly, fear haunts many of Your own; so we cry out for You to give relief. Thank You that when the righteous call, You do hear and You do deliver them. (Psalm 34:17) Father, please remove Your child’s lack and provide a way of escape with: wisdom, a miracle, wise counsel, a plan, or a change. (Proverbs 15:22) You will not allow Your precious sheep to be crushed underneath their heavy burdens. You will give them peace that the world does not have. (John 16:33) A peace that surpasses all human understanding. (Philippians 4:7) Remind Your child daily to be anxious for nothing, for You are working on their behalf as Jehovah Jireh. (Isaiah 64:1-4) Your promises say this: For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper. (Psalm 72:12 ESV) What a beautiful promise for a child of Yours in need who feels they have no help. They need not worry because they have You. What better comfort could there be than You relieving your child’s fear of lack with Your provision, wisdom, direction, help, and attention? Thank You Father for Your personal care. (Luke 12:24) Thank you Jehovah Jireh for Your faithfulness. You will be true to Your holy name, no matter what! (2 Timothy 2:13)

May it be so!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
I love You,

Sheila

Day Seven
The Gift Of Community

It’s better to have a partner than go it alone.
Share the work, share the wealth.
And if one falls down, the other helps,
But if there’s no one to help, tough!
Two in a bed warm each other.
Alone, you shiver all night.
By yourself you’re unprotected.
With a friend you can face the worst.
Can you round up a third?
A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped.
Ecclesiastes 4:4-12

We are so very thankful for the power of and the gift of community. The Father has said: “two are better than one” (Ecclesiastes 4) and we are to “encourage one another and build one another up.” (Thessalonians 5:11) Yes, prayer is the best use of His Words to not only empower us but to also encourage the lost, the devastated, the weak, and those feeling hopeless. PRAYER WARRIORS: There are MANY IMPORTANT prayer requests that our sisters and brothers have entrusted to us; we must be faithful to them (and God) by lifting them up to His throne! Below are two places from our blog where those prayer requests are waiting for you. Please take a few moments today (and each day during the Twelve Days of Praying) to pray for those whom God leads you to. (James 5:16) Yes, the Father trust You with the powerful weapon of.. prayer! Both pages below have MANY prayer requests that need God’s touch (through YOU!) Remember, you are God’s vessel in The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer community. People are depending on you. Let’s honor God and our brothers and sisters with our prayers. “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20. Yes and AMEN!

Day Six
The Gift of Your Presence

Father,

Thank You for the gift of Your Presence. You are always there for Your children. Your presence is their comfort. Your presence is their peace. Your presence is their guide and safe place. Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. Exodus 33:15 You never meant for Your child to feel alone, abandoned, afraid, or cheated. In fact, Your very Name, Yahweh Shammah, the Lord is present, means just the opposite. This stands in stark contrast to the feelings of “I’m alone in this difficult place.” And it wipes out Satan’s many lies; starting with Your beloved must fend for themselves in their difficult and hard life circumstances. Not true! Sometimes, when Your child feels alone, they grow weary. This invites physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual fatigue. Please give Your child a respite by reminding them that You are there; You care deeply and Your presence wants to fill their weary, lonely and broken heart! You said; “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14) I pray Your powerful, loving, and safe presence be made known fully to Your child today. Then revive Your child’s heart as they rest in Your presence this week celebrating the birth of their Savior. (Luke 2)

May it be so!
I love You,
Sheila

Day Five
The Gift of His Resurrection Power

Father,

Thank you for the gift of Your resurrection power. (Luke 24) Your power was used to resurrect our Jesus from the grave and I ask You to resurrect the broken pieces in my friend’s life and heart. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. (Matthew 28:6) Father, strengthen Your child with this resurrection power this day. (Romans 8:11) One Word from You can bring dry bones back to life. (Ezekiel 37:4) Yes, I pray my friend would be strengthened in heart to endure until they see Your hand visibly move on their behalf. (2 Chronicles 16:9) Soooo many of the prayer requests we left at Your feet yesterday are requests requiring; Your power…a resurrection… a miracle…. the impossible!  Father, Answer their cries with Your goodness!

Many are desperate for provision financially
Many are crying out for future marriages; as the wait has been long
Relationships need a miracle restoration
Prodigals and the salvation of our lost loved ones are breaking hearts
We need Your perfect love to cast out our fear
Hearts long for family unity and love abundant during the holiday season
Loneliness, grief, and regret need Your complete healing
Marriage’s need more devotion, love, and respect than ever before
Healing in bodies and broken hearts is our greatest need; as some are paralyzed
We need wisdom given generously and our spiritual eyes open to root causes
Open doors of opportunities for destinies to be fulfilled for Your glory
Direction and favor in job opportunities for Your children is needed
Father, ground us spiritually in our identity in Christ Jesus
Yes, we want to know Your heart and have spiritual eyes and ears

Until You answer and provide in Your timing and with Your wisdom; I pray Your child has the strength to: pray, give, believe, ask, forgive, give thanks, praise, rejoice, and equip themselves with Your Word. All these things Your child can do to participate in the resurrection they need in their life. Yes, obedience to Your commands brings Your promises and good and perfect will to pass. (Isaiah 1:19) I pray the earthly resurrection of: marriages restored, hearts mended, lives redeemed, bodies healed, dreams to take off, provision financially and most of all; an abundance of hope in Your child’s heart to press on to the high prize in Christ Jesus. (John 11:25-26 and Philippians 3:14) I pray this to be, so that Your child will be healthy, whole, and empowered to be prepared as ones who put their hands to the plow for Your Kingdom “for such a time as this!” Come Lord Jesus, Come! (Revelation 22:20)

May it be so! For it is written. (Matthew 4:4)
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray!

Amen and Amen.

The Gift of the Three Stranded Prayer

Let’s thank our God today for the Gift His has given us in Prayer!  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Day Three
The Gift of Healing Hearts

Father,

We praise You for being the Healer of the broken-hearted. (Psalm 147:3, Psalm 34:18) Your name, El Roi, assures us that You are the God who sees heartbreak. (Genesis 16:13) Father, You saw Hannah in anguish and heard her cry, “I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.” (1 Samuel 1:16 NIV) Hannah’s pain ran deep; like it does for so many of us today. What do we love about this story? You answered Hannah with Your goodness. For this child I prayed, and the LORD has granted me my petition that I made to him. (1 Samuel 1:27).  Your children face some hard stuff on the earth: maybe pain in a marriage; a child may be a prodigal; a disease may be diagnosed; or finances drowning; maybe a relationship strained; a regret choking; dreams dying; a job could be lost; or addiction, exhaustion, betrayal, and depression … still, NOTHING is too hard for You. (Jeremiah 32:27) Nothing catches You by surprise. You are omniscient and all-knowing. (Psalm 147:4-5) You know every detail of their pain. You heard their heart break. You know they are weary and tired. And, You know exactly how to heal their weary and tired heart.

This heartbreak they carry casts a heavy shadow over every decision, every relationship, and every single thought they have. May You strengthen them healthy and whole again. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. (Psalm 73:26 ESV)  May they breathe again! Yes Father, the ache that has taken their breath away is real for them. I ask in the mighty name of Jesus You replace the ache in Your precious one’s heart with an ache to know and love Your Son in all His majesty and splendor. Your invitation is that Your beloved be closer to Jesus than ever before. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18) Hold Your child close and help them breathe, relax, and You be the lifter of their heads; for You are the Healer of their broken heart and wounded spirit; this day!

But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (Psalm 3:3)

May it be so, for it is written! (Matthew 4:4)
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,

Amen and amen.
I Love You,
Sheila

Day Two
The Gift of a Promise

Father,

We are thankful Your sheep can know Your voice and become intimately acquainted with You; the One True King. (John 10:27) A Hebraic meaning of one of the ways You speak so intimately to Your own is that You “make a promise.” Your promise to Your child is just that … a promise. (Numbers 23:19b) There has not failed one word of Your good promises, ever. (1 Kings 8:56) Your Name is Faithful and True. (Revelation 19:11) Sadly Father, as the days and months and years have gone by without Your child seeing certain promises fulfilled, their hope has begun to fade. (Proverbs 13:12) Remind Your child You understand the weight of waiting for a promise fulfilled. (Hebrews 4:15) Remind them as well; You gave Your Word to the Israelites that You would bring them into the Promised Land (away from slavery, oppression, fear, chains, and lost dreams) and even when their faith dragged (with complaining and unbelief (Exodus16)); You did not forget them. No, You did even more than they could ever comprehend, (Ephesians 3:20) Oh, how dwelling in the land of milk and honey (abundant provision, healed hearts, loved completely, free from chains that bind, and dreaming with God) must have been a dream for those whose hope was fading over time. (Genesis 15:18-21, Joshua 21:43) The same is for Your child; they will see their promises fulfilled in the land of the living and be so over the top overjoyed they will feel they are dreaming. (Psalm 27:13 and Psalm 126) Their answers are on the way because You are their Help, Hope, and Deliver. You are the One who can and will sustain (support, carry, and give relief to) them with a PROMISE. (Psalm 54:4)  My prayer for my friend, as they wrap up this year and go into 2016, is that they build their life with Your promises. Yes, May all their dreams come true in the mighty powerful name of the One who is Faithful and True. Thank YOU for the gift of Your faithful promises to us. Our hearts are comforted.

May it be so,
Amen and Amen.
I Love You,
Sheila

Twelve Days of Praying

12daysheader

DAY ONE
The Gift of Your Covenant Love

Father,

Thank You for the gift and assurance of Your covenant love. Your child is here at this moment to lay it all out before You and Your covenant love—every need, trouble, fear, distress, concern, hurt, injustice, and strain. I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble. (Psalm 142:2 NIV) Father, take some time in this moment to assure Your child they can trust You have an expected end to this current season of questioning and fear, heartbreak and sickness, loneliness and shame. (Daniel 2:21, Proverbs 3:5-6) Yes, Your beloved child needs a touch of Your love today for their strength of heart. I pray my friend will see Your loyal love tangibly with their very own eyes this day! I pray Your child leans upon You and Your faithful love for them always and in every heart-breaking circumstance they may go through. (Deuteronomy 7:9) Because of Your unfailing love for them I pray there be no room in their hearts for doubting Your love; ever. (Matthew 14:31)

We are blessed beyond measure that You are a covenant keeping God bound to Your Holy Word. Your Word is settled, most powerful, true, and all we need to be whole, healed, and empowered to live abundantly. (Psalm 119:89, John 10:10, and Romans 4:21) Your Word says this; “But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9) I pray Your child sees Your love so powerfully, miraculously, and so sweetly today that it brings tears to their eyes. Wrap Your love around their weary hearts and cast out the fear that has them paralyzed. This fear which shows up by just watching the world news combined with our own personal fears.. overwhelms us! (1 John 4:18) Therefore, I pray Your child knows there is never a moment that fear should have it’s grip; for You are still on the throne and You rule with perfect love. (Psalm 47:8) Father, answer the cries and needs of our hearts miraculously like only YOU can do this day. We so need Your perfect love!

Yes and Amen. (2 Corinthians 1:2)

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray!
Amen and AMEN!
I love you,
Sheila

The Song of Songs Bible Study Week Five

becomingbridebanner copy

I am very dark, but lovely,
Like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon.
Do not gaze at me because I am dark,
because the sun has looked upon me.
My mother’s sons were angry with me;they made me keeper of the vineyards,
but my own vineyard I have not kept!

Song of Songs 1:5-6

Read the above Song of Songs 1:5-6.

Into the King’s Chambers the maiden goes. She has entered His presence by the blood of the lamb. (Hebrews 10:19) And boy, is she is in for an adventure. Life is never dull with the King. The King’s priority has always been to make Himself and His purposes known to her. Yes, revelation from His heart to hers is His desire. Once in the King’s chambers the maiden immediately has two (heart-changing) spiritual revelations. (Read verse 5 above again.)

One, “I am very dark.”

Two, “…but lovely.”

She proclaims; she is dark yet lovely.

Remember last week; things have heated up in the maiden’s external circumstances that has her insides in a knot and her in a “tizzy” to get to the King. What has happened? Several things. One, she is feeling the darkness of her human soul. Biblical teachings have painted this time in her life as “the dark night of the soul.” Her human sinful heart has been exposed and she doesn’t like what she has discovered or feels; not one little bit. She painfully says: “I am very dark.” But, there is more. She also exclaims she is “lovely.” How does she know this? The King has told her. Telling her is how He captured her heart and she wants to believe Him. He tells her this in hopes His love would transform her “dark” heart. Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord. (Psalm 45:11)

But, she is still adamant with: “Do not gaze at me because I am dark, because the sun has looked upon me.” The Hebraic meaning of “gaze” here is: see me. The maiden’s first response from her feeling “dark” is this: “I am ashamed for you to see what I have seen in my own heart. Don’t look at me!” Only one word can describe how she feels ….miserable. In His chambers (face-to-face with Him) she has had a glimpse of His majesty and holiness. Therefore, she wants all eyes off of her; as she has seen herself in comparison to the One True King. He is saying; Be holy; for I am holy (1 Peter 1:16) and she cannot comprehend this (yet). She feels the humanness of her “flesh” and weight of His holiness and it’s a lot for her. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41)

Others in the Bible have felt the same weight as this. Write out Isaiah 6:5. Tell me if you have felt the same? _________________________________________________________________

_________________________________________________________________

And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”

And Job 42:5-6: _____________________________________________________

_________________________________________________________________

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!”
Isaiah 6:3

Sadly, the maiden feels she is unworthy of His love (or anyone’s for that matter). She now sees herself as “burnt” by the sun. (verse 5) The sun is symbolic of the harshness of the fallen world she lives in and the sinfullness of her (and others) fallen nature. Take note: Our hearts have been scorched by the “sun” therefore we must guard it.  Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4:23 NIV)  Our hearts have been bruised, broken, tainted, rejected, and disappointed. Because of this, we have allowed idols in and built walls around our hearts that keeps the King’s love (we so desperately need) at arms distance. Therefore: we must guard our hearts diligently for loves sake.

Write out Jeremiah 17:9 _________________________________________________________________

_________________________________________________________________

In the maiden (us) dwells no good thing. (Romans 7:18-19)

Why has the King allowed the maiden to see this?

Read 1 Samuel 16:7. ___________________________________________________

_________________________________________________________________

The King has seen (knows) the maiden’s true heart and in just a few verses we will see His response. (You don’t want to miss when the King speaks for the first time!) For now we are going to focus on her response. She struggles. Why? The blackness she feels in her heart is her unrenewed mind. And oh boy, it is one fierce battle. She literally despises herself one moment (notice she says, “I am VERY black”) and yields to the Truth of who she is in Christ Jesus (His righteousness) the very next. (“but lovely”) These two contrasts show she is battling in her mind fiercely. The many trails in life, a fallen world, and our sin nature can create one beast of an unrenewed mind. The root problem: an unrenewed mind listens to other voices over the King’s truths. This is a battle you have to win to know His love wholly.

How?

Write out Galatians 5:17 and Romans 8:5:

Galatians 5:17: For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

Romans 8:5: For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.

Your heart colliding with His holiness, His truths, and His love is a painful yet extremely powerful beautiful thing. As His Bride, you are to be prepared without spot or wrinkle. The “wrinkles of the mind” need to be dealt with. Truly, what you believe in your heart is what is coming into your life. ….for the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. (Luke 6:45) A heart weighed down does not see clearly or respond appropriately to the King’s love. (Luke 21:34) It is the King’s love that heals the lost, broken, bruised, and weary. A healed heart (His job) and a renewed mind (your responsibility) empowers you as His prepared Bride.

You MUST walk by the Spirit and His truths; not by your unrenewed mind.

The revelation found just in these two verses of the Song of Songs has so very much to teach the seeking heart. So much so that we will spend more than one lesson on it. It is too important to the health of ones spiritual journey to just gloss over. Next week we are going to finish up on Verse 6. The maiden is distraught in her heart and mind because her mother’s sons (church family, blood family, chosen friends) have wounded her and God wants to spotlight His purpose and her (your) healing journey. A journey to His goodness. He is SO very good!

For today…. CLICK HERE and in the comment section let me know what you are battling in your mind? What is beating you up today? And…leave a prayer request if you wish.

Until then! I love you!

(Psalm 138:1 and 1 Chronicles 16:34) We are abounding in thankfulness for You. Thank You for always and forever answering the deepest cries of our hearts by loving us devotedly and perfectly. (Colossians 2:6-7 and Psalm 118:21) Our hearts are humbled to be appointed for such a time as this to be in Your Kingdom’s service. With THANKS, we want to obey Your beautiful command of loving others; so Your grace would continually be made known throughout the world. Yes, a broken world who needs You and Your love desperately. (1 Timothy 1:12 and 2 Corinthians 4:15) You are our strength, our shield, our help, our One True Love; You are whom our heart trusts and for that we are THANKFUL! (Psalm 28:7) We recount Your wondrous love, deeds, and works and lay at Your feet our THANKSGIVING this day! (Psalm 75:1 and Psalm 107:8) With all our love! AMEN.

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

formom612

Father,

We are here with Thanksgiving welling up in our hearts for You. (Psalm 100:4) You are great and greatly to be praised. (Psalm 96:4) Power and might belong to You alone. You are the Almighty God, the Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 43:3) Sovereign Creator, You see and know all things. You are our Father. (1 Corinthians 8:6) We are in awe of You. (Habakkuk 3:2) You are so very worthy to be praised and thanked. (Psalm 145:3) There is none like YOU. (Jeremiah 10:6) Your goodness has no match. (Psalm 34) Your mercies have no end. (Lamentations 3:22-23) Your love has no bounds. (Ephesians 3:18) Those who know the power in Your Most Holy Name trust in You explicitly. (Psalm 9:10) We are seeking You today with all our hearts; and You promised to be found. (Deuteronomy 4:29) Such a beautiful love You have for us! We are blessed to say, “You are our God!” (Psalm 31:14-15)

You are Jehovah El Emeth: the LORD God of Truth. Your child can be guaranteed that Your Word will not return to You void, but it will accomplish what You sent it to do. (Isaiah 55:11) Forever, Your Word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89) We send Your Word forth from this prayer as a weapon to bless, provide, defend, protect, and deliver us from the enemy’s tricks. (Proverbs 30:5, Psalm 121:7) Your Word is a bright lamp to our feet. It guides the way for us, giving wisdom, discernment, sound judgment, and a path to Your highest and best for us. (Psalm 119:105) May they have the very Mind of Christ; a mind that stays on You and Your Word. (1 Corinthians 2:16)  Praying Your Word back to You empowers us to overcome the schemes of the enemy and overcome this world by locking our eyes, heart, voice, and lips to Your Promises to us. (John 16:33)

What more has Your Word been sent to do? Heal, speak, deliver, transform, and set free. (Psalm 107:20) Your Word has the power to resurrect, change, and restore. (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16) Praying and believing in Your Word brings life to hearts that are barely beating. (Psalm 19:7) Your Word, abiding in the heart of Your child, can move mountains, breathe life into dead bones, and bulldoze the hardest of hearts. (John 15:7) What You wrote in Scripture thousands of years ago stands today. (Hebrews 13:8) You have not changed Your mind, nor are You like man that You would lie to those who belong to You. (Numbers 23:19) No, You are the living God who keeps His promises to His own.

Your Holy Scripture is filled with beautiful ways that You fight for Your children. The passages recount how You answer the cries of Your people faithfully. (Psalm 18:6) Unforgettable moments of hope are all over its pages. We see Your brilliance and might in the Red Sea parting, the sun standing still, prison walls falling, battles being won, the dead coming back to life, and the resurrection of our Savior. Nothing is too hard for You. (Jeremiah 32:27) Thank You for not being a respecter of persons and not playing favorites. (Acts 10:34, Romans 2:11)

You can give an unforgettable moment of hope for Your child in their circumstances too. This very day. We pray for their own Red-Seas to part, restoration of all things back to them, battles to be won, and walls to fall for those praying this prayer in the mighty Name of Jesus. Yes, direct Your child’s steps to Your goodness, miracles, and mercy. (Proverbs 16:9) Father, in the mighty Name of Jesus, please astound Your child by answering this prayer exceedingly, abundantly more than they could ever dream. (Ephesians 3:20) AND, we will give YOU all the THANKS our full hearts can give. Happy Thanksgiving to the One our hearts well up for! (Psalm 95:2)

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

Father,

Words cannot describe the love I have for The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer family. I believe with all my heart You have hand-selected each member to be here for such a time as this. And, I know it pleased You immensely to do so and even more pleasing to You; is to answer their prayers! Thank You for encouraging each member with the power of Your word in prayer. Those belonging to this blog delight and trust in Your Word and thirst for Your righteousness and truth. (Psalm 119) Your children praying Your Word must be such a beautiful sound to Your ears!

Nothing could please You more than Your children seeking to know You more intimately and to delight in the empowerment of Your WordMay this beautiful prayer family abide in You always by delighting in Your Word and living in the power of unity, peace, truth, and in the abundance of Your love. (John 15:7) Everything about this prayer family shines brightly for Your Son. (Matthew 5:16) I pray every heart will continually be fully devoted to You and Your Kingdom work. We are here to pray; “Your Kingdom Come!” (Matthew 6:10) Your will be done!

We come in agreement because Your Word accomplishes what it is sent to do. (Matthew 18:19) It does! We send Your Word forth from this prayer as a weapon to defend, protect, and deliver us from the enemy’s tricks. (Proverbs 30:5, Psalm 121:7) Thank you for this beautiful community of intercessors whose hearts are set apart for You and are awake to the enemy’s schemes and lies. May they be untangled from this world and tangled up with You in the Secret Place. It is in the Secret Place they will find the miracle their heart cries out for. (Psalm 91)

As we consecrates ourselves to You and set our hearts apart; speak to us LORD! (Joshua 3:5) Speak powerfully to Your child today with the heavenly revelation and spiritual knowledge needed for today’s hard challenges. (Ephesians 1:17) The enemy’s whispers have been cruel and crippling. I pray Your Voice will be all Your child will hear. (John 10:27) I pray your child not listen to another taunting voice…their own. The voice of an unrenewed mind can be just as harsh as the accuser’s. Father, this makes the fight hard! Our battle plan? That this battle is Yours and is to won in the powerful place of praying Your Word. (2 Chronicles 20:15) May Your Word take it’s rightful place in our hearts and may we prosper because of it!

I pray for Your highest and best in my friend’s beautiful pursuit of You. I pray You empower Your child with wisdom, discernment, and direction through the Holy Spirit where they most need it today. May the Holy Scriptures be forever sealed in their hearts. Being empowered by Your Word and abiding in Your Word are where the miracles they need are birthed. Whisper in Your child’s ear the beautiful plans and miracles You have dreamed for them. Make it so outrageous they will not even believe You! (Psalm 126) Then continue working behind the scenes; making a way where there seems to be no way for those who have put their trust in You!

Amen and AMEN!
I love you,
Sheila

Next week, we will pick back up with the Song of Songs Bible Study!

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

Father,

We praise You for bending Your ear to the prayer of the destitute and not despising our cry. (Psalm 102:17) You know Your child’s financial needs before we ask. (Matthew 6:8) They are carrying the heavy burden of a desperate lack of finances. (Matthew 11:28-30) Exhausted wouldn’t be a strong enough word to describe their heart. They need You. (Isaiah 40:29) Financial needs are rampant. Utility and mortgage bills are late, salaries are cut, jobs are in jeopardy, retirements are dwindling, and the holiday season is here. Some are living day-to-day, weary and afraid. Remind Your beloved that Your perfect peace and love can cast out their fear of abandonment and helplessness.(Philippians 4:6-7)

When there is worry, fret, and fear, Your child is susceptible to Satan’s attacks and whispers. (1 Peter 5:8) They feel the lack and it makes them feel fearful, cold, and alone. Father, fear, shame, condemnation, and desperation haunt them and so we cry out for You to give relief. Please deliver them from this. Thank You that when the righteous call, You do hear and You do deliver them. (Psalm 34:17) May the only fear they have be a holy fear of You alone—the one who loves them completely. This is a safe fear. Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack! (Psalm 34:9 ESV)

Father, please remove Your child’s lack and provide a way of escape: wisdom, a miracle, a plan, or a change. (Proverbs 15:22) Direct their steps to Your heavenly provision for them. Supply for Your beloved’s needs in all sorts of creative ways, just as Jesus did when He walked on this earth to show His glory and power. (Luke 9:16, John 2:1-11) You know what is needed and have told Your dear one not to worry … but it is hard not to fret about how to make ends meet. (Matthew 6:31-32) Grant them Your amazing grace and limitless faith. You said: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 ESV) We request a miraculous way of provision! (Matthew 17:27)

Your Name is Jehovah Jireh, the Lord our Provider. You are our peace. Thank You for this dire situation to show who You are! The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalm 23:1 ESV) You will not allow Your precious sheep to be crushed underneath this burden. But You will give them peace that the world does not have. (John 16:33) A peace that surpasses all human understanding. (Philippians 4:7) Remind Your child daily to be anxious for nothing, for You are working on their behalf as Jehovah Jireh. (Isaiah 64:1-4)

Your child will forever remember Your faithfulness and praise You for Your promises fulfilled for them. (Joshua 4:1-24) I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds. (Psalm 9:1 ESV) Your promises say this: For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper. (Psalm 72:12 ESV) What a beautiful promise for a child of Yours who feels they have no help. They need not worry because they have You. What better comfort could there be than You relieving your child’s fear of lack with Your provision, help, and attention? Thank You Father for Your love and devotion! (Luke 12:24) Jehovah Jireh we rest in the beauty of that this day!

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.

The Song of Songs Bible Study Week Four

becomingbridebanner copy

Draw me after you; let us run.
The king has brought me into his chambers.
Song of Songs 1:4-5

Read the above verses Song of Songs 1:4-5.

Draw me after you.

Is “draw me after you” the cry of your heart?

Usually this great longing of the heart is marked by an significant absence. An absence you can feel. The world has a way of pulling us away from the One who can ease pain, answer questions, perform the miraculous, impart true wisdom, and transform our hearts. Drawing near is what one does when they find an obvious distance between themselves and the One whom their heart truly longs for.

Is there a distance in-between you and the One your heart truly longs for?

You need to “draw near.”

The Hebraic word draw means this: Take for oneself: by choosing.

Take a look at James 4:8a below and notice drawing near is both yours and God’s choosing.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.

TAKE NOTE: The power of pursuing God (drawing near) has no wait. James 4:8 tells us, you draw near; He draws near. There is no in-between. The moment the maiden suggests drawing near and running with Him; it is done!  She hadn’t even finished her sentence before we see her in His chambers. There was no lunch, no phone calls, no prayer group, no settling unfinished business, no bills to pay; just an entrance into His chambers. Yes, you cry out and immediately He draws near.

Write out Isaiah 65:24: _______________________________________________

________________________________________________________________

“Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.”

The maiden (YOU) in the Song of Songs is in a “tizzy” to get to the King (The King of Kings) and suggests a shared getaway with her cry …”let us run.” She wants to be near Him. She cries out. She draws near. Why? She yearns to be clean, holy, spotless, and blameless. (Ephesians 5:27) The only problem is; she doesn’t know this. She is crying out for “fleshly” reasons. She doesn’t know what work truly needs to be done deep in her weary, broken heart. Only He does.

The King’s secret: His holiness has provoked her crying out. (1 Peter 1:16)

Write out Ephesians 5:26-27: __________________________________________

_______________________________________________________________

What does He know that she doesn’t? There may be: hidden wounds from years gone by. There may be: unforgiveness that has stayed silent. There may be: secret sin. The point; her heart needs cleansing and healing.  She feels the grief, pain, and dirty grit in her heart. This prompts her crying out and Him drawing near. AMEN!

When these two voices (yours and God’s) meet this way (drawing near by choosing) we have this: Ask what you wish and it will be done for you. (John 15:7) When two voices carry the same heartbeat the ancient Hebraic scriptures taught this was the ultimate “cry of prayer.” This prayer will be answered. Abide in me, and I in you. (John 15:4)  When your voice and God’s voice collide in prayer it means transformation will come in your heart. This is when your heart truly starts to beat with life. He is after a prepared bride and it is your heart that gets the preparing.  Therefore, He will answer Yes and AMEN every time you ask to be healed and cleansed in your heart. Your broken heart is of great importance to God.

Write out 2 Corinthians 1:20: ___________________________________________

________________________________________________________________

Here the maiden is saying: “Come and get me then let’s run!” Did you notice the maiden’s heart cry here notes an intensified need to draw near to Him? Why? Things have heated up on the outside and her insides are in knots, entangled, and aching. The external rhymes of this world has drawn her to look inward to the true rhythm of her heart and she has noticed…. she needs Him. Is this describing you? Don’t waste one more second sister. You need Him and He is waiting for you to draw near! A holy, spotless, and blameless Bride you shall be! (Revelation 19:7)

Father,

Draw my sister into Your arms. May she see what You are after and what cleansing of heart she needs this day. The world (a life of chaos without You) has tried pulling her away from Your Son. The ONLY One who can truly ease her pain, answer her questions, perform the miraculous she needs, impart true wisdom, and transform her hearts as holy, spotless and blameless….is HIM. May she choose this day to draw near. May this truly please Your heart!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray!
Amen and AMEN!

Dear Family,

Many missed The Three Stranded Prayer so we decided to add prayers into the Song of Songs: Becoming a Prepared Bride for Jesus Bible Study and call this section of praying “I Do.” We will pause the study today and pray for you. We will rotate prayers in for you every week from now on. Can’t wait to see what God does!

Love, Love, Love,
Sheila

Father,

Your name, El Kanna, tells us You are jealous of anything Your child has given their heart over to. Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God. (Exodus 34:14 NIV) You were serious when You engraved in their heart the first commandment, You shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3) You cannot dwell in a heart whose space is occupied. You require all of Your child’s heart. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. (Deuteronomy 6:5 NIV) A partial heart will not do for You. You are jealous for Your beloved’s heart.

We risk so much when we cling to false idols! Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them. (Jonah 2:8) Please forgive your child for having idols—for looking to anything or anyone else to meet needs for which You provide. And I said to them, Cast away the detestable things your eyes feast on, every one of you, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the LORD your God. (Ezekiel 20:7 ESV)

Lord, You are jealous of anything that takes Your beloved’s heart, attention, and emotions away from Your providential care. Sometimes their troubles become an idol. The problems they stare at grow so big that You are pushed out of Your child’s line of sight. Worry takes some of Your space. (Matthew 6:25-34) Then fear interferes with Your perfect love. When Your child doesn’t see immediate change, unbelief and complaining block Your hand. (Numbers 14:2, Psalm 106:24) This grieves You!

Your dear one may be asking, “What idols do I have that God would be jealous of?” The answer: the internet, refrigerator, phone, the mall, work, ministry, addictions, people, their own way or false teachings. Turning first to these things or people for comfort, validation, hope, or provision is called leaving our first love. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. (Revelation 2:4 ESV)

Forgive us please, Father.

What does someone do who is jealous of their space being occupied? They wait for the object of their desire to return. Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him. (Isaiah 30:18 ESV) You love Your child so deeply You are waiting patiently for them to return to You. I pray they return to You this day!

Leaving You has had such a high cost. Your loved one’s lukewarm heart needs Your forgiveness. Today, they will remove their idols because their heart belongs to You. (2 Chronicles 16:9) Father, You can return to their heart to take Your place. Therefore tell the people: This is what the LORD Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the LORD Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the LORD Almighty. (Zechariah 1:3 NIV) They love YOU so much Jesus and want their Bridegroom back. What happens now that Your beloved has cleaned their heart of idols and returned to You? This …

GOD, your God, will restore everything you lost; he’ll have compassion on you; he’ll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered. No matter how far away you end up, GOD, your God, will get you out of there and bring you back to the land your ancestors once possessed. It will be yours again. He will give you a good life and make you more numerous than your ancestors. GOD, your God, will cut away the thick calluses on your heart and your children’s hearts, freeing you to love GOD, your God, with your whole heart and soul and live, really live. GOD, your God, will put all these curses on your enemies who hated you and were out to get you. And you will make a new start, listening obediently to God, keeping all his commandments that I’m commanding you today. GOD, your God, will outdo himself in making things go well for you: you’ll have babies, get calves, grow crops, and enjoy an all-around good life. Yes, GOD will start enjoying you again, making things go well for you just as he enjoyed doing it for your ancestors. But only if you listen obediently to God, your God, and keep the commandments and regulations written in this Book of Revelation. Nothing halfhearted here; you must return to GOD, your God, totally, heart and soul, holding nothing back. (Deuteronomy 30:3-10 MSG, emphasis added)

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.

Week Three

Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth!
For your love is better than wine;
your anointing oils are fragrant;
your name is oil poured out;
therefore virgins love you.
Song of Songs 1:2-3

The Song of Songs is a beautiful piece of Hebraic lyrics nestled in the heart of the Bible that puts into words what is hard for the heart to utter on it’s own. It begins with a maiden (as one of the main characters of our study) who has seen the King in all His majesty and splendor and pours out a devoted description of Him. She knows His love…For your love is better than wine. (Song of Songs 1:2) His love has shown the pleasures of life do not compare to Him. She knows His smell..Your anointing oils are fragrant. (Song of Songs 1:3) The smell of His Faithfulness can melt the most fearful of hearts. She knows His character…. your name is oil poured out. (Song of Songs 1:3) His Name poured from the lips of the humble brings the broken to their feet. She knew the King. Do you know Him?

Write out John 17:3 _______________________________________________
_______________________________________________________________

Take a look at Philippians 3:10 and write it out as well. _____________________
_______________________________________________________________

This type of KNOWING is vital to your “becoming a prepared Bride for Jesus.”I want you to ease drop on a conversation Jesus had in the Bible that we will put center stage today:

Read Matthew 25:1-13 for His Parable of The Ten Virgins.

“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’ Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps.  And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ But the wise answered, saying, ‘Since there will not be enough for us and for you, go rather to the dealers and buy for yourselves.’ And while they were going to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, lord, open to us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”

What did the King say to the virgins who were not ready for the marriage feast and the door was shut before them?
_____________________________________________________________
_____________________________________________________________

“I do not know you.” (Matthew 25:12) The King’s response to the five foolish virgins pierces the heart. These five tiny words seem (to me) to be the most heart-breaking words of the Bible. Five words you do not want to be said to you by the King of Kings.

In the Hebraic language five tiny words can tell you more than you ever dreamed to know. In the American English language we aren’t as colorful with our words. These passages of the Bible are rich in meaning and I don’t want to overlook the entire text of “The Parable of the Ten Virgins.” We will study this passage in detail in the coming weeks. However, I just want to focus for today on these five tiny words that can devastate a heart.

“I do not know you.”

“Know” in this passage is taken from an expressive Hebraic word that once painted out on the canvas clearly gives us what Jesus means. This version of “know” is more of a seeing (with the natural eye) that becomes “knowing.” Jesus was speaking with a past tense verb that meant this: to know, to see, to be sure, to behold, to be aware, to remember. This is so very sad. This means the King proclaimed at the marriage feast he had never seen the foolish virgins before. Shockingly to them, He didn’t know them.

As always with God; He has another (most fabulous) option.

The most beautiful part of our re-painting this picture is that if we used “know” in the differing text such as, “I do know you” the meaning will send you to your knees. The Hebraic word used as the ultimate expression of truly “knowing by seeing” someone is optomai, which means; “to gaze with wide-open eyes at something remarkable.” Optomai is the word used for Jesus appearing in all His glory many times throughout the Bible. To those who had eyes to see Him, this type of appearing was an astonishment. They couldn’t even look at Him. When the King sees the fullness of Christ in you He gazes upon you with eyes wide open as well. He is looking at what He considers “remarkable.” When you are prepared as a wise virgin and asking to enter the feast, the King responds with: “Yes, I know her. This one’s love doesn’t compare to all the riches of heaven. (Song of Songs 1:2)  Her faithfulness has melted my heart. (Song of Songs 1:3) My Name was found inscribed on her broken heart. (Song of Songs 1:3) I know her. She is remarkable.”

(Strongs 1492: eldo; Strongs 3700: optima; Strongs 3708: horao)

In Matthew 25:1-13 how were these virgins described? ________________
________________________________________________________________

Yes, five were wise and five were foolish.

Five were prepared and five were not.

As you move from foolish to wise; you can become remarkable in His eyes. We will study how we become prepared as the “wise virgins” in the weeks to come. Take a moment to really ponder these timeless words from an evangelist in the 1900’s.

“There must be a special preparation for the return of Christ, and at least half of all believers will be totally unprepared. All the people which are pressing into and getting ready for this glorious attained place where they shall not be found naked, where they shall be blameless, where they shall be immoveable, where they shall be purified by the power of the Word of God, have within them a consciousness of the very presence of God, changing their very nature and preparing them for a greater thing, and causing them to be ready for translation.” Smith Wigglesworth

Let’s pray:

Father,

Our heart’s greatest desire is to be prepared as a Bride for your Son. May we be ones who are KNOWN and counted as worthy of Your Kingdom. Purify our hearts and minds with the Word of Truth, so that we may know You like no one has ever known You before!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray!
Amen and AMEN.

TOMORROW, into the King’s Chambers you will go where He will clothe you with garments, empower you with His purifying Word, overwhelm you with His presence, and transform you for that greater thing you are being prepared for. AMEN!

Draw me after you; let us run.
The king has brought me into his chambers.

Song of Songs Bible Study Week Two

becomingbridebanner copy

Week Two
The Song of Songs, which is Solomon’s.
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine.
Song of Solomon 1:1-2

The Song of Songs, which is Solomon’s. (Song of Solomon 1:1) King Solomon is the known author of the Song of Solomon. How many songs does the scriptures say Solomon was known to have penned? (1 Kings 4:32) ___________________

Read 2 Timothy 3:16. Historically the Song of Solomon is recorded as written by King Solomon. Who inspired this King to write such a breath-taking piece? ___________

The original Hebrew text titles this book as the “Song of Songs.” For that reason Song of Songs is the title we are going to continue with in this study. It deems repeating: Jewish rabbis have said; if you take The Song of Songs out of the Holy Scriptures you most certainly would still have the ultimate guide for a prosperous and God-honoring life. However, in doing so, you would be taking out the very heart of God. The mysteries of this ancient text, once discovered by the rabbis of old, were considered so holy they had to be whispered. The Jewish people believed the day God gave them The Song of Songs to be the holiest of days; therefore they considered The Song of Songs the Holy of Holies of the scriptures. Meaning to them, it is in this scripture where God’s heart and presence dwells.

Read Isaiah 57:14-15 and answer the questions below on God’s presence:

And it shall be said, “Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people’s way. For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. (ESV) Emphasis Mine.

Based on Isaiah 57:15 God dwells in two places. Where are those two places?
1.
2.

What does God’s presence revive according to Isaiah 57:15?
1.
2.

I highlighted two words above (revive and contrite) to study for an even clearer picture of what God’s presence does for the spirit of the lowly and the heart of the contrite. First, who are the lowly and contrite? The Hebraic meaning of the word used here for “contrite” is crumbled, broken, and bruised. (Strongs 1792) The “contrite” are those, bruised, broken (in spirit) or broken hearted and of course the “lowly” are the humble. The Hebraic meaning of “revive” is to give life; to recover; to restore; to save; to make whole. (Strongs 2421) God wants to dwell among us as we study The Song of Songs to revive spirits and heal those who are broken hearted and in need of life, restoration, and wholeness.

Are you the one He is coming to?

The Father promises to stoop down from the high and holy places and dwell amongst His own to revive the spirit of the lowly and the heart of the contrite. He does JUST that in the ancient text of The Song of Songs. As we study this song, line by line, we will find out it has been written for a higher purpose; with you included. We are going to weave your heart through the scripture which God’s heart and presence dwells. Why? To purify your heart. God’s plan? To revive and heal your heart to be prepared as His Son’s Bride. Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word. Ephesians 5:25-26 (ESV)

AMEN! Let’s continue;

Isaiah 57:14 above tells us there are three things His presence wants to do for the lowly and broken. What are they?

1.

2.

3.

(1) Build up, (2) prepare the way, and (3) to remove every obstruction from their way!

Before you weave your heart with the greatest love song of all time, come into His presence; for He wants to look for and remove “every obstruction” that may be keeping you from being restored to your first love! But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. (Revelation 2:4)

Circle what may be obstructing Your relationship with your First Love.

Disappointment
Idolatry
Unforgiveness
Pride
Doubt
Fear
Self

You fill in your blank_______________

An expansion of the original translation of this verse will pierce your heart. Abandoning your first love means that you have “laid aside” the one love that has loved you best, first, and foremost from the beginning of time. You have left a “love that you can feast on” for a love that can run out, fade, or never fulfill. You laid Him aside for worldly ways and worldly responses. The maiden speaking in our verse of study has found out that this kind of love is “better than wine.” She has seen first hand that what the world and others have to offer her can not compare to her First Love’s love. She is better with Him and doesn’t do well without Him. She’s seen.

Have you “laid aside” the one love that has loved you best, first, and foremost from the beginning of time? Have you have left a “love that you can feast on” for a love of the world that can run out, fade, or never fulfill? Answer here:__________________

Do you need restored to your First Love? This is an important step to take in the journey of the heart. Will you take TODAY to ask God if He believes you have abandoned the “love you had at first” and what might be separating you from Him? May I suggest the mysteries of this ancient text will not only heal and flourish your heart; but also convict it? The answer to this question could very well be “Yes, I have left my First Love.” Ask Him! He is drawing you near to do just so. AMEN.

Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine.
Song of Solomon 1:2

The kisses that Jesus (Your First Love) gives His Bride are the Words of Truth that have been spoken and promised through the Holy Scriptures. The One who is Named “The Word” can give just a kiss of His Word and have all His power and authority released to revive, restore, and empower you. (John 1:1) May He kiss you with the Words of Truth and remove every obstacle in the way of His presence and His love for you. May He kiss your eyes for you to see that truth!

Have you returned to your First Love?

Jesus,

Thank you for the kisses you give so affectionately and devotedly to your Beloved. May You, this day, kiss their eyes so they see the truth clearly and not dimly. (1 Corinthians 12:13) May their eyes be open to the truth that Your love is the love to feast on and this world will never fill their hearts like You can. (Ephesians 1:18)  May Your Beloved see with spiritual eyes the things that can and have obstructed their view of You. (Isaiah 59:2) May they see You face to face this day as they turn back to their One and Only First and True Love. Whose love never leaves.

In YOUR Mighty Name I pray,
I love you,
Sheila

The Song of Songs Bible Study Week One

becomingbridebanner copy

Week One
But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first.
Revelation 2:4 (ESV)

Can you hear that? I’m sure you cannot actually hear the “great cloud of witnesses” cheering. Oh, but they are! (Hebrews 12:1) I can imagine armies of angels started a most beautiful chorus of praise the moment you arrived here. I have no doubt Satan has thrown some mean punches to keep you paralyzed and barely breathing at times. I dread he might have been most masterful in shooting a custom-made arrow at your heart. With that said; I was thinking we should stop here to shower a few persevering angels with accolades for helping to lift your head from under those covers. Getting you to this sacred moment with your Beloved deserves a standing ovation! (Hebrews 1:14 and Psalm 91:11) Yes, Satan has been ridiculously mean and relentless. But, God has been and is extravagantly (let me say that again) extravantly good and forever faithful to His own. Hear this: The Father’s counter to Satan’s pursuit will be of no match. No match. You will see. You will see.

Let’s take this day to cleanse our hearts before we approach Him. (Psalm 51:10)

Read Psalm 62:8: Trust in him at all times, pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. Before we go further, pour your heart out to God. He is your safe place. What happened? What has broken your heart? What has you paralyzed and in fear? What sin are you hiding? Are you cleansed of bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment and anger? Let’s cleanse and purge our hearts to be prepared for God’s healing, empowerment, restoration, and deliverance during this amazing study.

Pour your heart out here:) _________________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________________

How does it feel getting all your pain and sin out of your heart and into God’s presence? I pour out my complaint before him; I tell my trouble before him. (Psalm 142:2)  Psalm 142:2 says your complaints are now where?_______________ Your concerns and complaints are “before Him.” Meaning this: His eyes are upon it.

You need not worry.“The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous ones, and his ears are toward their cry for help. Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves.” (Psalm 34:15, 18)

ONE more thing before we enter into the Song of Songs. May I take this time to introduce you to your Savior if you have never received His forgiveness? If your heart does not belong to God and you are ready to give your heart to Him to cleanse, purify, forgive, transform, and to love; here is a prayer that will reach His ears. This will be the most perfect time to do it. May we pray this together?

Father,

My spirit is grieving to be separated from You. I agree with Your Word that I am a sinner in great need of a Savior. (Romans 3:23) My sin has convicted me deeply and aches for the cleansing it can receive from the Blood of the Lamb slain for me. (Acts 3:19) Thank you Jesus for taking my place on the cross and offering me a new life in You. (1 Peter 2:24)

Amen and amen.

And a prayer for those who want to return to their “First Love.”

Beloved,

I have lost my way. I have allowed pain, idols, and circumstances to overcrowd my heart and move you out. (Leviticus 26) I have seen that Your unfailing love is what I most need and I miss you. (Psalm 143:8) Forgive me for hurting Your heart and draw me back unto you! (James 4:8) I am returning to my First Love with my whole heart! (Deuteronomy 6:5)

Amen and amen.

Introduction: Song of Songs Bible Study

becomingbridebanner copy

Dearly Beloved,

I see you there hiding under the covers.

Don’t be ashamed. No, please don’t! I have been in the exact same place.

I can remember it like it was yesterday. Ironic isn’t it? You can remember so vivid days you would like to forget.

Friend, lift your head up so I can see your eyes. Oh, I can see it. I see the pain. It’s something awful! But, don’t you fret. God has me here for just that reason.

Your pain.

At the risk of you digging deeper under the covers I must now speak boldly.

The allotted time of mourning is over and it’s time to get yourself up. You must lift your head and see what I see! You must lift your head to see the gaze of God upon you. Once you lift your eyes to see, you will know He has not left you for a second. If you are too weak; not to worry. Here is a promise for you: But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (Psalm 3:3)

You see, God reaches out to His people in the most unpredictable of ways. What God has done to prove, express, and manifest His love truly has to be the most epic manifesto of all times. He breaks protocol if He needs to and moves heaven and earth to reach His own (YOU). He has done this for you in the Song of Songs.

God will be here to meet you in the pages of our study of the Song of Songs. HoweverI fear you won’t be able to see Him while under those bed sheets hiding from pain. Just a warning: It became national Christian news when Esau gave up his inheritance over a bowl of stew. Let’s not lose yours over a “bed sheet” over the head. Come on! Let’s get up and follow hard after God so He can heal you.

It is YOUR time to get to know YOUR Beloved; now ARISE from this slumber!

What is a “bed sheet” symbolic of here? It is symbolic of one hiding behind the pain carried from: Disappointment. Regret. Being Abandoned. Fear. Rejection. Betrayal. Addiction. Sin. Rebellion. A Broken Heart. Unbelief. False Accusations and Misunderstandings. Grief. Loss. Shame. Unforgiveness. Loneliness. Denial.

What is the “bed sheet” you are hiding behind?____________________________

If my PUSH to get you up is not enough; maybe God’s will be. Let’s let Him speak:

Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come, And the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1 (AMP) Amen and Amen.

My friend, your unrenewed mind is narrating your circumstances to you as you are hiding under the covers. What needs to be narrating your circumstances is a consecrated heart. “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” Joshua 3:5 (ESV) The condition of your heart is of great importance to God. Why? He is preparing a Bride for His Son whose heart and mind is without spot or wrinkle. (Ephesians 5:25-27) So, starting tomorrow we are going to study the Holy Scriptures together and let God heal, restore, renew, and revive your heart with hidden secrets and mysteries revealed; prophetic words; and an abundance of His love as your heart journeys to His through the Heart-Changing Song of Songs.

Until tomorrow!

Love,
Sheila

Love Your Child Loud!

Father,

May Your beloved know that Your love is a balm that will heal their wounds. Your love is the cure to the ache in their heart. Your love is gracious, kind, and abundantly generous at all times. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7) Your love is sensitive to Your child’s frail heart, but also mighty enough to deliver them from their enemies and to grant justice. (2 Kings 17:39) Father, just as a shepherd protects and tenderly mends their sheep when they’re hurt, You do the same for Your child. You are our Shepherd, Jehvoah Rohi.

You know just what Your sheep needs today. Show them how You can meet them right where they are and do what only You, their God, can do. Only You know how to love Your child that perfectly. May they rest in Your safe love. I love this verse in Isaiah 40:11: He gathers the lambs in His arms and carries them close to His heart.

You carry your child close to your heart! What undeniable love you have from them!

I pray your beloved believe with all their heart; THEY ARE YOUR TREASURED ONE.

Thank You for adoring them and rejoicing over them. The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. (Zephaniah 3:17 ESV) Just like my children ask me when a song they love comes on the radio, “Mom, turn it up loud!” God, we are asking You to turn Your love up LOUD for Your dear one. Sing My love is everlasting over this precious child of Yours. (Jeremiah 31:3) Your love never changes. (Malachi 3:6) You loved them this morning the same as the day they were born. Your love has sustained Your child their entire life. (Psalm 54:4) They have no idea the many times Your love has covered, protected, and favored them. (1 John 5:18, Psalm 5:12) Your love is active and working on Your sheep’s behalf day and night. (Psalm 121:4) Your love is long-suffering and always forgiving when asked. (1 John 1:9) Thank You! What a relief to know Your love never leaves, despite what is in our hearts. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Only You completely understand Your child’s heart. They have secrets … please listen to them. They have pain … will You relieve it? Please take their shame and wipe their tears. Once Your love takes a tight grip on their heart, Your child will be overcome with joy, peace, and righteousness. (Romans 14:17) When You strengthen their fearful heart with Your love, Your child’s sorrow and sighing will flee. (Isaiah 51:11) Amen!

Before the foundation of the earth You set Your heart, Your never-ending love, and Your full attention toward this child of Yours. Nothing on earth could be more healing than Your abundant love and care. May Your loved one rest in the safety of Your presence and love from this moment on. (Exodus 33:14)

Love them loud!

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen!
I love you,
Sheila

Heart-Changing Bible Study of the Song of Songs

Dear Friends,

I have been extremely honored to serve you praying the Three Stranded Prayer. I am so very grateful to God for all the prayers He has answered and for the many to come! We will obediently and fervently continue to seek Him and trust His heart with our prayers.

Something new…

As members of this blog you will be receiving my new Bible Study; Becoming a Prepared Bride for Jesus: A Heart Changing Bible Study of the Song of Songs as I write it. Every week a fresh section of the Bible Study will be sent directly to your email!

becomingpbride2

How will this study give you the heart change you have been waiting for?

Jewish rabbis have said; if you take the Song of Songs out of the Holy Scriptures you most certainly would still have the ultimate guide for a prosperous and God-honoring life. Meaning to them, it is the scripture where God’s heart and presence dwells.

Can you imagine the power of us praying the Three Stranded Prayer with the scripture considered to be the very heart of God?

That is exactly what we are going to do!

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

Father,

You are great and greatly to be praised. (Psalm 96:4) Power and might belong to You alone. You are the Almighty God, the Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 43:3) Sovereign Creator, You see and know all things. You are Your child’s Father. (1 Corinthians 8:6) We are in awe of You. (Habakkuk 3:2)

You are so worthy to be praised and thanked. (Psalm 145:3) There is no one like YOU. (Jeremiah 10:6) Your goodness has no match. (Psalm 34) Your mercies have no end. (Lamentations 3:22-23) As Your child puts Your love into action toward others, they will have no fear of the day when they stand before You in heaven. (1 John 4:18) Your deep compassion, love, and kindness toward Your child gives them great confidence that Your love for them is set and sealed eternally. (2 Corinthians 1:22, Romans 5:8, Psalm 78:38-39)

Lord, You are magnificent! Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven. (Psalm 148:13 ESV) Your thoughts toward Your child are too many to count. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I would count them, they are more than the sand. (Psalm 139:17-18 ESV) This very minute, You are thinking of them.

How wonderful to think of the lavish love You pour out for Your child. (1 John 3:1) There isn’t a future moment You will love them more, nor anything that could separate them from Your love. (Romans 8:38-39) You see Your child’s afflictions and rescue them willingly. (Psalm 31:7-8) Before we call, You answer; while we are yet praying, You hear. (Isaiah 65:24) When Your child cries out, ‘My foot is slipping,’ You keep them secure; when anxiety is great, You console with peace. (Psalm 94:18-19) When an abundance of tears is sown, You allow Your beloved to reap shouts of joy. (Psalm 126:5)

Yes Lord, You are great and deserve our praise, for You are our one and only devoted God. (2 Samuel 7:22) The heavens declare Your glory and the skies proclaim the work of Your hands. (Psalm 19:1-2) The rocks will cry out, proclaiming Your goodness if we fail to do so. (Luke 19:40) That is how good You are. So very good.

It is a joy to continue to praise You, Jehovah El Elyon. There is no one like You, the LORD, the Most High God. Your resources and authority can intervene in Your child’s life to make changes for their highest good and ultimate best. (Romans 8:28)

Your compassion can completely take charge of any and every circumstance threatening Your child’s peace. Truly, You are a caring Father with provision in abundance to rescue them. (Psalm 50:10) Help Your child approach Your throne of grace with confidence—trusting not in man, not in this world, not in themselves—but in Your mercy alone. (Hebrews 4:16)

When Your child is “wayward of heart,” You woo them back. (Hosea 14:4)

When they need mercy, You are slow to anger and abound in love. (Psalm 86:15)

When they feel forgotten, You are mindful of them. (Hebrews 13:5)

When Your child needs wisdom, You give generously. (James 1:5)

They may feel invisible, but You have lovingly numbered the very hairs on their head. (Matthew 10:30-31) Your child was dead in their sins and You sent Your Son to give eternal life. (John 3:16-17) You make Your child new, in You. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Lord, we praise You for all these truths. Through them we see that Your response to Your child’s cries is always what they need. For all this and more, we give You praise!

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
I love you,
Sheila

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

Father,

Your Word is the truth Your child can depend on. (Proverbs 30:5) Your Word is flawless. Please give them the confidence they need to trust completely in its power and what it says about Your strength to protect them from trouble. (2 Samuel 22:31) Thank You for the gift of Your unseen hand that moves mightily on behalf of Your child.

You set things in motion.

You set things right.

You set things in order with Your unseen hand.

Lord, You work day and night to make sure Your child is secure, loved, and protected. You will not let them slip or fall.

I lift up my eyes to the mountainswhere does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot slip
he who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD watches over you

the LORD is your shade at your right hand.
(Psalm 121:1-5 NIV)

When Your beloved cries out, You move to save and deliver! Incline your ear to me; rescue me speedily! Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me! (Psalm 31:2 ESV)

Father, help Your beloved refuse to be moved by the seen and to believe in the unseen work of Your capable hands. (2 Corinthians 4:18) May they fully trust in Elohim Ozer (God my helper). May they be full of assurance that Your promises are “Yes and Amen” in Christ Jesus for them personally. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

The answer is yes, You love Your dear one! (Romans 5:8)

The answer is yes, You will provide! (Psalm 37:25, Philippians 4:19)

The answer is yes, You care! (Matthew 6:26)

The answer is yes, You will deliver Your child from all their afflictions! (Psalm 34:19) The answer is yes, You are fighting this battle too tough for them as they stand still and see YOU move on their behalf. (Exodus 14:13-14)

You are their God and You will be with Your child wherever they go, always! (Psalm 31:14, Joshua 1:9)

Father, help Your child take the hand powerful enough to create oceans, canyons, and mountains, and give them faith to trust Your sovereignty in the direction for their life.

(Isaiah 41:10, Proverbs 3:5-6) Lift Your child’s head high above their adversary and demolish paralyzing fears with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. (Psalm 3:3, Philippians 4:7) May Your beloved know Your ways are the highest and best. May Your ways be their life-long pursuit! (Isaiah 55:8-9)

God, our human minds are limited. Your revelation and knowledge is vast! (Romans 11:33-34) Would You show Your child Your greatness and astound them with an exceedingly abundant answer to this prayer? (Ephesians 3:20-21) Would You allow them to see the movement of heaven on their behalf and reveal the answer to their prayers on earth this very day? (Luke 11:13) Show Your child that You are their God of wonders! (Psalm 77:14)

Father, I leave You with Your child as they lay their requests in Your hand.

Show them You are THEIR GOD!

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
I love you,
Sheila

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

Father,

You child may feel hopeless, but there is no such thing with You! In the midst of their heart-breaking situation, remind Your child they have the Bible, filled with life-giving truth, available to them. Right now, encourage Your child to find the verses in this prayer in their Bible. Why? Because Your Word has the power to resurrect, change, and restore. (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Timothy 3:16) Your Word brings life to hearts that are barely beating. (Psalm 19:7) Your Word, abiding in the heart of Your child, can move mountains, breathe life into dead bones, and bulldoze the hardest of hearts. (John 15:7)

What You wrote in Scripture thousands of years ago stands today. You have not changed Your mind, nor are You like man that You would lie to those who belong to You. (Numbers 23:19) No, You are the living God who keeps His promises. You are Jehovah El Emeth: the LORD God of truth. Your child can be guaranteed that Your Word will not return to You void, but it will accomplish what You sent it to do. (Isaiah 55:11) Forever, Your Word is settled in heaven. (Psalm 119:89) Settle this truth in their heart.

What has Your Word been sent to do? Heal, deliver, resurrect, and set free. (Psalm 107:20) Teach Your child to place their hope in You and to keep these promises tucked in their heart. As Solomon instructed his son to heed his wise words, remind Your child to pay attention to Scripture, for Your Word is life. (Proverbs 4:20-22) Father, Your Word is a lamp to our feet. It guides the way for us, giving wisdom, discernment, and sound judgment. (Psalm 119:105) Thank You for the security and peace this brings.

Scripture is filled with beautiful ways that You fight for Your beloved. The passages recount how You answer the cries of Your people faithfully. Unforgettable moments of hope are all over its pages. We see Your brilliance and might in the Red Sea parting, the sun standing still, prison walls falling, battles being won, and the dead coming back to life. Nothing is too hard for You. (Jeremiah 32:27) Thank You for not being a respecter of persons and not playing favorites. (Acts 10:34, Romans 2:11) You can give an unforgettable moment of hope for Your child in their circumstances too. This very day!

Direct Your child’s steps to Your goodness. (Proverbs 16:9) May they have the very Mind of Christ; a mind that stays on You and Your Word. (1 Corinthians 2:16) I pray their feet are directed into the path of Your highest and best for them, always. Father, in the mighty Name of Jesus, please astound Your child by answering their prayers exceedingly, abundantly more than they could ever dream. (Ephesians 3:20)

As Your dear one reads more of the Bible, help them become fully convinced, like Abraham, You are more than able to do what You have promised. (Romans 4:19-21) Cultivate a love for Scripture within their heart as they read Your Word. May Your ear be attentive to this prayer and may You answer with goodness, favor, and hope. (Nehemiah 1:11) Restore back one hundred fold the years stolen due to unbelief. (Joel 2:23) Envelope them with the strength needed to put their trust in You. (Isaiah 52:1)

You have promised. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 ESV)

We have askedAgain, I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. (Matthew 18:19 ESV)

Your child believes. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be taken up and thrown into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:23-24 ESV)

Lord, please speak words of hope and encouragement into this precious one’s heart. Dispel any voices that have tried to make them feel not listened to, small, or unloved. You are for them. Remind Your beloved that YOU are the God of ALL hope and give Your child good things according to Your Word and Your will. (Romans 15:13)

Shower Your child with Your goodness and answers! (Psalm 27:13)

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
I love you,
Sheila

Father, Restore a Relationship

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer Family,

The “restoration of a relationship” prayer is requested the most on my blog and heartbreakingly last week the request came in more than I could count. So, today I want to send out this prayer from my “The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer” e-book to the many tonight whose hearts are broken from a strained relationship. Remember: Forgiving and asking for forgiveness is VITAL to your spiritual growth and relationship with God. Not only does God say to forgive so that He may forgive you. (Matthew 6:15) But, the scriptures are CLEAR that in the end-times the love of MANY will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12) This is an attack from the enemy and you must battle it with PRAYER and LOVE!

Let’s PRAY and RECONCILE:

Father,

Relationships between fallen people can be hard; even harder is when those relationships are with our very own family members, chosen friends, or spouses. Human love is imperfect. Still, You created us for togetherness and to feel we are cared for and belong.

Restore back to Your beloved a strained relationship they hold very dear in their heart. (Joel 2:25) Bring wisdom, forgiveness, and understanding into each heart involved today. (James 1:5, Ephesians 4:32, Psalm 119:130) Pour Your love into all wounded hearts supernaturally. (Romans 5:5) The pain from this kind of rejection feels exactly like a physical pain. It hurts Father! If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it; if a foe were rising against me, I could hide. But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend. (Psalm 55:12-13 NIV)

Jesus knowsHe was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (Isaiah 53:3 ESV)

He understandsFor we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15 ESV)

Show how You restore all things brand new and that when YOU author a restoration, things will soon be better than they have ever been. Remind Your child that You are the one who can change the heart of kings. The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will. (Proverbs 21:1 ESV) How? Your love. Your love is louder than any pain, regret, or seemingly impossible situation. Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. (Jeremiah 32:17 ESV)

Father, Life on earth can be heart-breaking during certain times. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. (Psalm 43:5 ESV) Thank You for the promise of changing seasons of friendships and relationships. (Psalm 37:5, Ecclesiastes 3:1) Thank You for the beauty of being part of the Body of Christ. We were never meant to be alone. Thank you for those who hold up our arms as we journey through the heart-breaking times of a beautiful life. (Exodus 17:12)

Father, may the two seeking reconciliation be overwhelmed with Your love that can erase a wrong, give a second chance, and change a stony heart. (Ezekiel 36:26) May the healing power of forgiveness and true agape love overcome Your child’s weary and torn heart as they wait on Your wisdom and timing to reconcile. (Luke 7:47) The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. (Exodus 14:14)

Fight for this relationship!

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
Sheila

The Power of Agreement

Father,

You said in Your Holy Word “If two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. Where two or three come together in My name, there I am with them.” (Matthew 18:19-20) You also said,“Take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.” (Mathew 18:16) There is power, confirmation, wisdom, encouragement, protection, and answered prayer when two or more agree and gather in Your Most Holy Name. Here we are in Your Presence bowed before You.

Father, the ancient Hebraic word for answer means to pay attention to and then respond. You hear Your child’s cries and desperate prayers for an answer from You. Your heart is to pay full attention and respond to their requests. There is NEVER a time when Your precious child is not heard! Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. (Psalm 130:2 NIV) It is Your pleasure to answer, pay attention to them, and respond as they humbly ask. (Luke 11:9)

Your promises to Your children is just that … a promise. (Numbers 23:19b) What You say in Your Word is a for sure promise. There has not failed one word of Your good promises, ever. (1 Kings 8:56) As the days and months and years go by without Your child seeing certain promises fulfilled, their hope has begun to fade and they lose heart. The Hebraic word for promise is dabar, which means to arrange, answer, appoint, and command. Your promise—Your Word—is Your child’s answer! They should be elated with this truth: The Lord is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works. (Psalms 145:13b ESV) Father, answer Your beloved’s cries with this promise: Many are the afflictions of the righteous. But the LORD delivers him out of them all. (Psalm 34:19 ESV)

Father, I am here in agreement that You are here to answer the cries of Your child’s heart with the promise that Your command is “Yes and AMEN” to ALL the promises prayed and especially those agreed upon, confirmed, and where You are in the midst of. For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

Do you need healing? Provision? Restoration? Divine direction? God’s Hand to move? Dreams fulfilled?

Friend, for every promise you pray I will agree with you and God will gather in our midst and do what only He can do! Click Here to AMEN this prayer and leave the promises I can agree with You on. Together we will consecrate ourselves and see Him do amazing things! (Joshua 3:5)

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus,
Amen and amen.

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

Father,

Your child is laying it all out before You—every trouble, concern, hurt, injustice, dying dream, and strain burdening their heart. I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble. (Psalm 142:2) Today they are seeking You with their faith and prayers. Your child’s confidence is in the assurance that You are good and You do hear this cry. In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. (Psalm 18:6)

Father, Your beloved’s trust is in You alone; not man. You alone are able to release their feet from the snare of the enemy. (Psalm 25:15) You alone are their strength and wisdom. (Psalm 46:1) You are the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, and the End. (Revelation 1:8) YOU are THEIR God and they can trust You have an expected end to this current season of questioning and worry, lack and fear, heartbreak and sickness, loneliness and shame. (Daniel 2:21, Proverbs 3:5-6)

Your holy word says this: Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. (Matthew 18:19 NIV) We are here to agree. We plead the blood of Jesus over every single prayer request that has been entrusted to The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer family into Your hands to be answered miraculously, abundantly, powerfully, lovingly, and supernaturally according to Your perfect will. We have confidently prayed Your Word, which does not return void, but instead accomplishes what it is sent to do. Therefore, we look for You to do mighty things among us Father; as only Your Faithful Hands can do! (Ephesians 2:20)

In the Mighty Name of Jesus I ask You to…

Heal hearts and sick bodies. Renew minds. Love the wounded. Grant justice. Defend Your child. Provide for deep needs. Provide for our children’s every need. Join hearts. Restore fortunes. Direct steps to jobs and finances. Provide financially. Grant wisdom. Deliver addicts. Bring home the prodigal. Unite husbands and wives together as one. Fulfill the deepest desires of the heart. Refresh the weary. Advance Your kingdom. Restore years stolen. Have Mercy and Grant Grace! Father, glorify Yourself in every possible way through our prayers and petitions! May You get ALL the glory and honor that You rightly deserve from our lips! (Psalm 63:3)

As your child waits for their prayers to be answered, help them endure by remembering they are supported by Your mighty, lavish, and abundant love. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? (Romans 8:35) Because You love Your child and they love You, You have given this wonderful promise: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9) May their eyes see this day Your great love for them as You show Yourself strong on their behalf by answering this prayer in a way that only YOUR love for them could do! (Exodus 14:14)

We trust FULLY in Your devoted heart towards us Father. We do.

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
I love you,
Sheila
