Father, Restore a Relationship

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer Family,

The “restoration of a relationship” prayer is requested the most on my blog and heartbreakingly last week the request came in more than I could count. So, today I want to send out this prayer from my “The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer” e-book to the many tonight whose hearts are broken from a strained relationship. Remember: Forgiving and asking for forgiveness is VITAL to your spiritual growth and relationship with God. Not only does God say to forgive so that He may forgive you. (Matthew 6:15) But, the scriptures are CLEAR that in the end-times the love of MANY will grow cold. (Matthew 24:12) This is an attack from the enemy and you must battle it with PRAYER and LOVE!

Let’s PRAY and RECONCILE:

Father,

Relationships between fallen people can be hard; even harder is when those relationships are with our very own family members, chosen friends, or spouses. Human love is imperfect. Still, You created us for togetherness and to feel we are cared for and belong.

Restore back to Your beloved a strained relationship they hold very dear in their heart. (Joel 2:25) Bring wisdom, forgiveness, and understanding into each heart involved today. (James 1:5, Ephesians 4:32, Psalm 119:130) Pour Your love into all wounded hearts supernaturally. (Romans 5:5) The pain from this kind of rejection feels exactly like a physical pain. It hurts Father! If an enemy were insulting me, I could endure it; if a foe were rising against me, I could hide. But it is you, a man like myself, my companion, my close friend. (Psalm 55:12-13 NIV)

Jesus knowsHe was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (Isaiah 53:3 ESV)

He understandsFor we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15 ESV)

Show how You restore all things brand new and that when YOU author a restoration, things will soon be better than they have ever been. Remind Your child that You are the one who can change the heart of kings. The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will. (Proverbs 21:1 ESV) How? Your love. Your love is louder than any pain, regret, or seemingly impossible situation. Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you. (Jeremiah 32:17 ESV)

Father, Life on earth can be heart-breaking during certain times. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. (Psalm 43:5 ESV) Thank You for the promise of changing seasons of friendships and relationships. (Psalm 37:5, Ecclesiastes 3:1) Thank You for the beauty of being part of the Body of Christ. We were never meant to be alone. Thank you for those who hold up our arms as we journey through the heart-breaking times of a beautiful life. (Exodus 17:12)

Father, may the two seeking reconciliation be overwhelmed with Your love that can erase a wrong, give a second chance, and change a stony heart. (Ezekiel 36:26) May the healing power of forgiveness and true agape love overcome Your child’s weary and torn heart as they wait on Your wisdom and timing to reconcile. (Luke 7:47) The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent. (Exodus 14:14)

Fight for this relationship!

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
Sheila

The Power of Agreement

Father,

You said in Your Holy Word “If two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. Where two or three come together in My name, there I am with them.” (Matthew 18:19-20) You also said,“Take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.” (Mathew 18:16) There is power, confirmation, wisdom, encouragement, protection, and answered prayer when two or more agree and gather in Your Most Holy Name. Here we are in Your Presence bowed before You.

Father, the ancient Hebraic word for answer means to pay attention to and then respond. You hear Your child’s cries and desperate prayers for an answer from You. Your heart is to pay full attention and respond to their requests. There is NEVER a time when Your precious child is not heard! Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. (Psalm 130:2 NIV) It is Your pleasure to answer, pay attention to them, and respond as they humbly ask. (Luke 11:9)

Your promises to Your children is just that … a promise. (Numbers 23:19b) What You say in Your Word is a for sure promise. There has not failed one word of Your good promises, ever. (1 Kings 8:56) As the days and months and years go by without Your child seeing certain promises fulfilled, their hope has begun to fade and they lose heart. The Hebraic word for promise is dabar, which means to arrange, answer, appoint, and command. Your promise—Your Word—is Your child’s answer! They should be elated with this truth: The Lord is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works. (Psalms 145:13b ESV) Father, answer Your beloved’s cries with this promise: Many are the afflictions of the righteous. But the LORD delivers him out of them all. (Psalm 34:19 ESV)

Father, I am here in agreement that You are here to answer the cries of Your child’s heart with the promise that Your command is “Yes and AMEN” to ALL the promises prayed and especially those agreed upon, confirmed, and where You are in the midst of. For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

Do you need healing? Provision? Restoration? Divine direction? God’s Hand to move? Dreams fulfilled?

Friend, for every promise you pray I will agree with you and God will gather in our midst and do what only He can do! Click Here to AMEN this prayer and leave the promises I can agree with You on. Together we will consecrate ourselves and see Him do amazing things! (Joshua 3:5)

May it be so!
In the mighty Name of Jesus,
Amen and amen.

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

Father,

Your child is laying it all out before You—every trouble, concern, hurt, injustice, dying dream, and strain burdening their heart. I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble. (Psalm 142:2) Today they are seeking You with their faith and prayers. Your child’s confidence is in the assurance that You are good and You do hear this cry. In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears. (Psalm 18:6)

Father, Your beloved’s trust is in You alone; not man. You alone are able to release their feet from the snare of the enemy. (Psalm 25:15) You alone are their strength and wisdom. (Psalm 46:1) You are the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, and the End. (Revelation 1:8) YOU are THEIR God and they can trust You have an expected end to this current season of questioning and worry, lack and fear, heartbreak and sickness, loneliness and shame. (Daniel 2:21, Proverbs 3:5-6)

Your holy word says this: Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. (Matthew 18:19 NIV) We are here to agree. We plead the blood of Jesus over every single prayer request that has been entrusted to The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer family into Your hands to be answered miraculously, abundantly, powerfully, lovingly, and supernaturally according to Your perfect will. We have confidently prayed Your Word, which does not return void, but instead accomplishes what it is sent to do. Therefore, we look for You to do mighty things among us Father; as only Your Faithful Hands can do! (Ephesians 2:20)

In the Mighty Name of Jesus I ask You to…

Heal hearts and sick bodies. Renew minds. Love the wounded. Grant justice. Defend Your child. Provide for deep needs. Provide for our children’s every need. Join hearts. Restore fortunes. Direct steps to jobs and finances. Provide financially. Grant wisdom. Deliver addicts. Bring home the prodigal. Unite husbands and wives together as one. Fulfill the deepest desires of the heart. Refresh the weary. Advance Your kingdom. Restore years stolen. Have Mercy and Grant Grace! Father, glorify Yourself in every possible way through our prayers and petitions! May You get ALL the glory and honor that You rightly deserve from our lips! (Psalm 63:3)

As your child waits for their prayers to be answered, help them endure by remembering they are supported by Your mighty, lavish, and abundant love. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? (Romans 8:35) Because You love Your child and they love You, You have given this wonderful promise: No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. (1 Corinthians 2:9) May their eyes see this day Your great love for them as You show Yourself strong on their behalf by answering this prayer in a way that only YOUR love for them could do! (Exodus 14:14)

We trust FULLY in Your devoted heart towards us Father. We do.

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
I love you,
Sheila

Author Jennifer Rothschild has a story for you. It’s about an unlikely couple, an unusual courtship, a beautiful wedding, and an illicit affair. Despite this situation, the marriage did not fail. It flourished. Here is the story of Hosea’s love for Gomer–a woman who might have disappeared into her transgressions if not for the love of her husband. It’s a beautiful illustration of the story of God and Israel. Believe it or not, it’s your story too. God chose you and loves you.

If you wander off, He will find you.
If you are afraid, He will reassure you.
If you are broken, He will restore you.
If you are ashamed, He will cover you.
If you give up on Him, He will not give up on you.

If you’ve ever felt invisible or insecure, you’ll discover, just like Gomer, that God’s unfailing love changes everything. Through the story of Hosea and Gomer, God tenderly reaches out to you and whispers, “My daughter, my name and nature are love. My name makes you lovely. Because I am worthy, I make you worthy. I am here to remind you of who you are. You are never invisible to me.”

The Power of the Three Stranded Prayer

Father,

You are so very worthy to be praised and thanked. (Psalm 145:3) There is no one like YOU. (Jeremiah 10:6) Your goodness has no match. (Psalm 34) Your mercies have no end. (Lamentations 3:22-23) Your great love for us is what our hearts are set on today. How wonderful to think of the lavish love You willingly and purposely pour out for Your child. (1 John 3:1) There isn’t a future moment You will love them more, nor anything that could separate them from Your love. (Romans 8:38-39) You see Your child’s afflictions and rescue them willingly. (Psalm 31:7-8) Before we call, You answer; while we are yet praying, You hear. (Isaiah 65:24) You are that good to us! Our hearts are very thankful!

Father, when Your child wants to fall apart, remind them that they are set apart for a great purpose You planned before creation. (1 Peter 2:9) They may feel as though You have forgotten them, but You haven’t. Not for a minute. (Psalm 115:12) When Your child cries out, ‘My foot is slipping,’ You keep them secure; when anxiety is great, You console with peace. (Psalm 94:18-19) When an abundance of tears is sown, You allow Your beloved to reap shouts of joy. (Psalm 126:5) This season is hard, but You are with them. Open their eyes to see You there! You have never left and never will. You have seen their tears, heard their cries, and feel their pain. Weeping may endure for this night; joy will come in the morning. (Psalm 30:5) May THIS morning bring news of Your great love for them!

Your limitless love will be what heals Your child. Because of Your great love for them change this season and their hard circumstances with Your powerful, creative and astounding ways. (Romans 8:28, James 1:17) Your child needs a miraculous move from You. Your Word declares there will be a day when You arise out of compassion and stoop in kindness to attend to Your beloved’s miraculous thing. (Psalm 102:13) You, seated on the throne and in charge of the entire universe, move to look down at the one who has been calling and gazing. You are busy behind the scenes delivering Your child from anything that stands in the way of this miraculous thing coming about. They will see You triumph. (Psalm 54:7) They will see this in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13) Hearts break just at the thought of “another day” in the “land of the living” of worry, regret, anxiety and sadness. Instead, may Your child’s heart soar that they have “another day” to be loved by You, to be cared for by You, to be blessed by You and to be adored by You.

Thank you for attending to my friends “miraculous thing!”

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and AMEN,
I love you,
Sheila

Father,

Your child is here at this moment to lay it all out before You—every trouble, fear, distress, concern, hurt, injustice, and strain. I pour out before him my complaint; before him I tell my trouble. (Psalm 142:2 NIV) They are seeking You for complete deliverance with their faith, their prayers, and their praises. Your beloved’s confidence is in the assurance that You are good and You have heard their cries for deliverance. (Psalm 107:6) In the mighty Name of Jesus, snatch your child up from the grip the enemy has on their heart! Snatch them from addiction, failed relationships, crippling unbelief, financial strain, failing health, and regrets. Indeed, they are more than a conqueror through and in You, their Deliverer! (Romans 8:37) You alone will release their feet from the snares and entanglements of their enemy. (Psalm 25:15) Deliver them by healing their hearts, minds, and spirits with Your love! Your child can trust that You have an expected end to this current season of questioning and worry, heartbreak and sickness, loneliness and shame. (Daniel 2:21, Proverbs 3:5-6) Your plan is to “snatch them away” from the enemy and love them devotedly until their deliverance is complete. (Psalm 136:24)

Oh, what a beautiful plan!

In the Mighty Name of Jesus we have prayed!
Amen and Amen,
I love YOU,
Sheila

Dancing With Daddy

Father God, Happy Father’s Day!

Dancing with Daddy
Sheila Mangum

“You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. LORD my God, I will praise you forever.” Psalm 30:11-12 (NIV)

My father was an alcoholic. Sadly, the disease consumed him and when he couldn’t find a way out, he committed suicide. His death affected my life in so many ways, and I missed his presence regularly. But one of the hardest times was at my wedding.

My wedding day was not what I had dreamed of. I glanced over to where my father should have been and saw an empty chair. The beauty of the father-daughter dance and him giving me away was a moment I would have treasured and framed.

But there was no photograph of our dance or of him handing me to my husband. Those pictures and memories were stolen from me. My wedding dress hid my vulnerable heart and my flowing veil covered my sad eyes.

In my brokenness, it felt like my father, by his suicide, abandoned me. I thought I was different because of the shame and loss and never really had a sense of belonging. In many ways, I felt like an orphan. Thankfully, I still had my mother who encouraged me that our faithful God would send someone into my life at the times when I needed a father figure.

My mom was right. God did send a father to take my dad’s place. He arranged for someone to care for my needs, to nurture my wounded heart and be the solid foundation that a girl needs in a father. He sweetly sent someone who would not abandon me.

God didn’t hand-select a pastor, in-law or godly man whom He trusted to show me love the way I needed. No, God sent Himself as a Father to me and my crippled heart. He fulfilled what He promises in Psalm 68:5, “A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.” (NIV).

The Fatherhood of God has created a healthy, trustworthy relationship with me that would never have happened if He hadn’t helped me overcome the sadness of the loss of my earthly father. He saved me from my doubts and insecurities.

God has been so very faithful to give to me what the years my childhood of insecurity and immaturity stole from me: wisdom and discernment. He’s promised to restore back to me everything that’s been stolen, even the memory of a father-daughter dance.

The Bible describes in vivid detail the beauty that is to come for those of us who have chosen to follow Jesus. Revelation 19:7 says, “Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready” (NIV).

There is a wedding where my Father will be. His presence will be known. His seat will be filled. His love will surround the place where there will be no tears or pain. At the wedding of the Lamb, I will finally have a dance with my Daddy.

I will take the hand that created me (Colossians 1:16). I will hold the palm that has my name written on it (Isaiah 49:16). He will lead me to all righteousness, just as He has taught me through life (Psalm 23:3). I will look into the eyes that are watching me now (Psalm 145:20). I will be held in the arms that I have run to so many times (Proverbs 18:10). I will be face-to-face with the One whose love has never failed me (Psalm 31:16). I will dance with my Father on that day.

Do you need a Father who never will leave you? Do you need security, love and devotion? Your Heavenly Father is the One who holds your heart safely in His capable hands. You are His most treasured possession. He wants to nurture you. Ask God today to heal your heart with His Fatherly love and set your hopes on eternity and a future dance.

Can He have this dance? Here is a prayer for you:

Father,

You are trustworthy, true to Your Word and truly extravagant in Your love. You will never leave nor forsake me. Thank You for Your care for me. You loved saved me. You have my heart! Boy, am I glad that I let You love me! Thank You Father that my life is framed with Your love!

Amen!

Reflect and Respond:
Write this on a note card and place it where you can see it:

You are MY daughter and I adore you. I watch your every move and direct your every step. I have a future planned and purposed for your good. Your heart is safe with Me. I promise. May I have this dance?

Love,
God

Father,

Thank You for the privilege of entering Your presence on behalf of Your child. I place before Your throne of grace and mercy Your child in their brokenness. The one You love everlasting needs You to move, speak, direct, deliver, and heal. (Jeremiah 31:3) My friend has been burdened with rejection, false accusations, heart-ache, and lost dreams. Your child need NOT be concerned; for You are their Just judge, the Giver of their Dreams, and the Healer of their Broken Heart. (Psalm 7:11, Proverbs 16:9, Jeremiah 29:11, and Psalm 147:3)

I ask that You re-write the story Your child wants re-written. Do the impossible for them! Show them Your loving, powerful hand is where their dreams are revived and that You are to be trusted and believed! (Luke 18:27, Romans, 4:21) You, who hangs the earth on absolutely nothing; nothing is too hard for You! (Job 26:7, Jeremiah 32:17) Restore back every God-given blessing, dream, and relationship the enemy has stolen or tricked from Your beloved. (Joel 2:25) Give back double in good things; things that will thrill their heart. (James 1:17) Yes, do for them what they cannot do for themselves! (Deuteronomy 31:8)

Father, Your Love and Word has the final say! (Proverbs 3:5-6) Show up and speak on Your beloved’s behalf! (Luke 1:37) Locate Your child like You did David (1 Samuel 16:11-13) and focus Your attention to the cries of their heart as they cry out to You for relief. (Luke 18:7-8) Give wisdom generously and strength to pursue life, righteousness, and choices that honor You as they wait. (James 1:5) You are the Love that saves, delivers, comforts, and guides. Your love overwhelms! Your love abounds! Save Your child from what is drowning and suffocating them with Your mighty love! (Deuteronomy 7:8-10)

Build up and lift Your child up to their feet, with Your invincible love!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and AMEN,
I love you,
Sheila

(Isaiah 55:11) May every promise of Yours prayed be fulfilled in Your child’s life according to Your will; which is always Your highest and best for them. Day Nineteen of Powerful Praying

Day Nineteen

What Happens When Your Prayers Collide with the Invincible Love of God
Paralyzing Worry Is Loved Right Out Of Your Heart!

Because the Sovereign LORD helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have
I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.
Isaiah 50:7

Father,

Worry is sneaky and hides well in the deepest part of the heart. When it dwells in the heart, a lot of “self-talking” gives worry space that belongs to faith. Your child’s “self-talking” goes something like this: But what if I hope for this and it does not happen? Father, please remove worrisome thoughts and replace them with this prayer: Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10 NIV)

Help Your child trust that You will answer them according to Your good and perfect will! But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” (Psalm 31:14 and Romans 12:2) They need not worry how You will answer as You have promised an answer that honors them. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. (Psalm 91:15) Your answer, in Your timing will NOT disappoint! (Isaiah 50:7)

Father, when Your beloved worries, love the worry right out of their heart! And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. (Romans 5:5 NIV) Their faith and Your love will crowd out the worry from Your child’s heart; so they may prepare for Your most beautiful, perfect, and honoring answer… that surely is on it’s way to Your child!  Psalm 107:28-30 says this: Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.

Father, bring Your child to their desired haven! A place where they are “shut in” with you; far from the worry and their own “self-talking.” A place where when their prayers collide with Your invincible love, worry is loved right out of their paralyzed heart! May it be so!

In the mighty Name of Jesus we pray,
Amen and amen.
Love,
Sheila
